Any of you guys who are in on this, would you mind seeing if there is any interest from like-minded individuals that own R32 GTSTs? We have an R32 fuse box and are tempted to offer this to them, too.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Muz; please check your bank statement for a bounce back - the funds have not hit my bank account after 2 days, just making sure if in case you've sent it elsewhere (FYI, the PM was a generic one so everyone got the same bank details from me)

raps86; please PM me with your full name for delivery purposes.

It's now another Friday and I think it only fair that we proceed with the Group Buy as soon as possible. For the remaining 3 people (not including Muz) who have not paid for their order, you have till Monday to jump on-board. If not, once Muz gets his payment checked out, it goes ahead - I think this is fair to all involved not to mention me, just got my car back and would like to be out driving :D

Apologies for the delay, was at the tuners yesterday - been a very crazy 2 weeks for the car.

UPDATE

The group buy is now closed in terms of taking orders; anyone else interested will have to PM me to arrange something as a once off. The artwork has also been sent to Ann for integration into the old design, should receive that back this afternoon / tomorrow morning. These proofs will be posted here for all to see (scaled down of course) before the OK is given to Ann.

Development of these will most likely take 1-2 days, n you should see them in your mailbox 1-2 days after that.

Apologies for the delay this week; been having some teething problems on the new setup for my car so been organizing things around the country to resolve them :) For those interested, here's a quick link to what we've been up to: http://www.youtube.com/user/projectr34satanic

Thanks all.

Stan

Morning all,

As promised - Ann has sent through the proofs for me to get the OK for from you guys... please see below for the 2 versions on offer (GT-T and GT-4), everything else is the same across both so it's really a choice between what cars you have. I will leave these up for a day or two - if nobody objects, the go-ahead will be given to Ann.

Please note that these are not to scale.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few of you have also asked me about mounting... so here it is:

My original had pre-drilled holes which meant that I had to mimic the holes on the fuse box cover and secure using screws. This proved to be quite "messy" and even cracked 1 of the corners as I was screwing it on. As such I decided against this option for the GB version - using adhesives would work a lot better. My reccomendation would be to clean the both surfaces, mix up some epoxy or similar and apply. Since the covers are flat, you can just sit it on a bench and put a phone book on it until it cures - easy!

PS: The above method is only a suggestion, I will not be held responsible if you f&*k it up, feel free to use blue tack as a "safer" alternative :(

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
