Boost Limit

hey guys. ive recently bought a boost controller. ive set it to run 12psi but as soon as my car hits 8psi the turbo sounds like its cutting out. it seems like its spitting out fuel but then i was told that there might be a boost limit set via my stock ecu. does anyone know what it can be?

ok ive found out my ecu isnt allowing more petrol into the turbo so when it gets to 8psi the turbo is trying to spool but there isnt any petrol to help it. so now im in need of a new ecu or a piggy back. any one got any suggestions on what i should do? and if so what product will do me well

Power FC, your stock ECU wont let you boost past 10PSI.
