This might lead to the roadworthyness of your vechicle vic. Did you buy the car secondhand?? if so, did the person who transfer the car into your name provided a roadworthy cert?

The lady from vic road told you the car got defected last year in Nov? was that from the previous owner? did he/she fixed the problem with the EPA? im kinda confused vic.. more info will be better.

in the case of your car being unregistered, you shouldnt drive it at all!. It should be garaged. I think this is what you need to do anyway:

1)Get your car to a roadworthy place and get a RWC. You might need to tow it or risk driving it to a mechanic to do the RWC..

2)Take the RWC to VicRoads with the engineers report (if the car was an import and never have been registered in australia)

3)Get your brand new plates.

thnx eric

mm...ok the skyline was done last Nov. got a green sticker says EPA TEST NEEDED

so went and proceeded EPA at Macleod EPA test centre

then the staff there say its all done and they will tell vic road about it...so we thought its FINE!

But! dont think they tell vic road about it! so i am confused in what to do...yes

been driving lancer most of the time now...which needs a service soon...i am fustrated....my god...

Alternatively, you should have a copy of the EPA test which you can show it

They don't actually give you anything, they just tell you its been cleared...so there goes that idea.

I reckon the rego has been suspended due to the car been seen at the drags or something dodgy like that... wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

The other reason is that another EPA notice has been filed, the notice has been sent to the wrong address and as a result the car has been automatically unregistered - as per the rules. It says that on the EPA notice. There could also be a huge fine floating around if he didn't attend the test on time. The fact "he didn't know about it" won't get him very far at all. Its your responsibility to you to keep all your details up to date with vicroads, nobody elses. You're going to find it damn hard to get that car back on the road I have a feeling.

Seriously Vickii, you gotta find out the rules and learn to play by them properly or you won't be driving for much longer - they'll take off your license and you'll be up for thousands in fines. If you like cars and driving its about time you played by the rules :)

Good luck with it all.. but if you followed the above more often then you, badak, or anybody else who seem to have a problem with the above wouldn't be in that situation.

I suggest ringing the EPA (03) 9695 2722 and see whether there is any record on their file about anything

It wasn't my fault

i knew about this after i went out with thomas...but i am willing to fix it up for him

called up today and found out that another EPA test needed to b done and $500 fine is involved...oh wells already have lots a problems, might as well add on another one...i am used to it

thanks for the advice...i dont allow badak out on street unless neccessary anyway...the magna goes fine lol:D

and my lancer is due in for a service...therefore...preparing FOR SALE notice lol

thnx troy pls PM

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
