richofoz
As the title suggest I've got smoke coming out of the gear stick boot when driving at freeway speeds. At first I thought it was just from a smoke I hadn't put out properly in the ashtray but that's not it. It smells like oil smoke and the amount of smoke is about the same amount that comes off the end of a cigarrette. Are there any obvious causes for this? I'm hoping it's just some oil that has spilled/leaked on to the exhaust which is burning off but I can't see any. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. P.S Have tried changing gearbox oil - had no effect) Thanks in advance, Rich. bubba
I get that occaisionally but it didn't smell like oil or anything burning.. I was very disturbed to begin with but after I figured out nothing was on fire and everything was operating correctly.. I forgot about it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/242634-r33-gts4-smoke-coming-out-of-gear-stick-boot/#findComment-4231684 Share on other sites
