Hey guys,

Just picked up the latest edition of tarmac magazine...

Its a good read but what interested me was the article in the back page.... check it out.

Its an interview with Jim Richards talking about the Bathurst race where the 32 GTR won but crashed on the last lap to bring on the famous "PACK OF ARSEHOLES" speech.

Just a heads up.... also WTF has happened to ignition DVD???

Yeah, where did Ignition DVD go! I thought it was just my nesagent not stocking enough car mags :ninja:

Even Zoo has been absent from the stands.

I've been looking more at the bike mags now ... and that not good for my car interests

The Ignition DVD is being sold seperate now, due to the contract ending and the Magazine Company (which handles Hot4's, HPI, etc) didn't want to renew the contract.

You can find the DVD in Newsagents (if they stock them) or find them at Autobahn for around $15.

This is why HPI and Hot4's now have 2 extra issues with their current issue, to fill the gap that the DVD has left!

It's a shame, but the Magazine Company simply didn't want to renew the contract!!

No idea? I know after the contact ended, HPI must have felt bad, because the next issue they had a article near the front of the mag saying how awesome the Ignition DVD is.

Apparently a 'GTR Special' Ignition DVD was released recently? But I can't find it!

I read alot of the British bike mags now. Their antics are hilarious sometimes, and articles are always interesting. Aussie mags are just lame and all recycle the same story, like each has the same editor and journos. Same reports on the same jap bikes. And their opinions on diff bikes get in the way of a real verdict of the bikes. Boring. Wouldn't touch Two Wheels if my life depended on it either. :P Plus the British mags report a little more on the BSB and other euro bike races, as well as real road tests on real affordable gear.

My brother gets the Heavy Duty and Lowrider mags ... so I read them when I use his loo :P

    • yeh they are 235/45/17 up front and 255/40/17 in the rears. I still didn't get my answer if i can fit a 18x9 up front. I want to get 4 of this and see if they will fit before committing as they didn't see an 18x8 as an option but there is a 18x9.5 also.   Enkei RS05-RR 18x9 35mm ET 5x114.3 75.0 Bore Matte Gunmetal Wheel
    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
