not a prob...raised the setting on the front....springs seem to be working well now....though I still need to do the sway bars.

Don't forget, if you can contribute to the Bushfire appeal, me and my sis will be taking donations and her work is matching them dollar-for-dollar!

Anyone coming?

Anyone coming?

I've got to go up anyway now so I will be there.

Picked up the new car this afternoon, it's going like a dream so far so will be good to give it a bigger run.

Leaving Blacktown now so should be there about 7.20pm or so.

See you there if you go.

Small turn out last night :D

Weather was good until we left Berowra and hit the Freeway, the clouds poured a great deal of rain from a great height

I lost everyone as I was just easing myself into the power and the 4WD.

Goes great though, when I pulled out of Macca's when everyone left I gave it a gentle boot and she got up and partied  Nice traction and great power delivery.

Anyway, I'm over the moon and can see this thing is going to cost me an arm and a leg in fuel ;)

Sorry about missing last night.

BTW....If Stephen, Ian and myself are go next week does that mean that the M35's will outnumber the C34's? :P

All good, the rain was a bit of a deterrent and it bucketed down while we were heading through Mt White, if I remember correctly. But it was clear enough once we got there, just a bit too cold. Are we still in summer?

Who cares about C34s outnumbering M35s or vice-versa? :D I think we should first focus on Stageas outnumbering (or at least approaching) the number of Skylines there!

lol....just looking for a bite or just a shit stir :P ....I agree lets try and outnumber the Skylines for once.

hey don't be hassling the mighty corollas. here is the beast i built (and sold):

130rwkw / 850kg = fair bit faster than stock M35 :)

but seriously though, i'm jealous of your red wagon Stephen. its just the sort i'm after. once the warranty is up on our other car i'll be looking for one with the Aero kit/cloth seats/3 gauges/tv for sure.

I wasn't really hassling the rolla's, they were huge back in the day.

Still a few getting around here and there, the rest of probably all rusted out and died painful deaths :)

I should have got a rolla for my first car instead of the sh!tbox Holden Sunbird I got, haha.. that was a shocker.

Good luck with finding an M35 when the time is right, hopefully you'll find the ideal one you are after. With the situation of the Aussie dollar tho the prices will probably keep going up :)

Like Benny's yellow KE55 wagon that you saw last night? That car's funny - it tears through the corners, but as soon as it sees a hint of upward incline, it disappears from your rear-view mirror as you easily maintain speed up the same hills with just a mild flex of your right toe.

Hahaha, but rolla's fly down hill!!!

I just took the stag to the RTA at St Martins Village, in the wet  Didn't miss a bit, manual changing hi rev's, engine braking and it doesn't even slide a jiffy!

It is madness, how did I last 34 years without a stag?? I'm left wondering now, shame that Nissan isn't manufacturing them anymore

ok so it turns out im not ready to drive just yet.......

had a hard time pressing the brakes, and not being able to stop in time isnt good when driving a car. might have to give this week a miss. sorry guys!

    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
    • You think its the AFM? I know its a common issues on R32s. I find it coincidental how this issue raised right after cleaning the fuel system. As everything except the fuel system was fine before. I tried running it with the IACV unplugged but did not notice a difference and still stalled. However, the RPM gauge is not in the cluster right now, so I will need to connect the laptop again and use Nistune to check the RPM. I will check this weekend.
