Mate its hard to know what your on about need more info on what you want.

Or are you asking about the camber arm mod that other people talk about

where they want to change the top front camber arm to a later model arm

from a R33 set up? If so the top plate in the strut tower just unbolts and then

you can weld it up to suit your new arm set up.Or better again buy the noltec

arms that sydneykid is selling they seem to be the best on the market 20min

job then a wheel alignment

basically my tyre is getting too much wear on the inside. i went to an alignment stand and was told that i would have to jack the strut mount which i am trying to avoide. if i get the aftermarket camber plates were i could adjust the negative and positive camber it would be good but i am also trying to avoide cutting the strut mount so my question is what are my options

Mate just get the Noltec adj camber arms from the sydneykid group buy that should fix

your problem they have some good adj range.Im still confussed as to what you mean

as to jack the strut mount plate if you just get adj top camber arms you should be fine

they just bolt straight in that easy then a another wheel alignment. No cutting needed!

basically where i am if you go to the wheel alignment stand and your camber is way out they will advice you to jack the strut mount so that whe you replace the strut it will be perfect. i would not cut or jack my car thats why i asked the different options.

Oh dear.

There are a few things wrong with that. The first problem is that an R32/33/34 Skylines do not have a McPherson strut suspension. So you can jack the strut mount (by which I assume you mean the shock tower) all you like & it won't make a difference. See the attachment for the layout.

The most common technique is to change the effective length of the upper transverse link either by using offset bushes (eg Whiteline) or replacing the link with a shorter & sometimes adjustable unit (eg Cusco, Noltec etc).

Now all of you, play nice. >_<

well thanx for the info. i have seen a car jacked to get 0 degree camber they have machines to do this. when a car gets hit they jack the body and under the wheel well to get the degree in which they want anyways i wont argue this.

which is the better way to go using the noltec? so there are no other ways to do this caz i would have to order these parts and i have already changed my tyres thanx a lot

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
