hey guys would just like to know what i can upgrade my pump to without doing any major modifications. for example could i pretty much plug and play a 32 gtr or 33 gtst pump where the stock r32 gtst pump is? or is there abit of modifying? also would i have to run gtr injectors or after market ones if i ran one of these pumps?

my car is just absolutely stock and fuel pump could be one of the reasons of my power cut out issues so want to rule it out plus might aswell get something abit better.

i just want something a tad better then stock without having to modify anything. let us know what way would be best.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. For what you are running maybe a bosch 040 would be the best recommendation.. That is if you really have a problem with your pump. Have you had it on a dyno and seen what the fuel pressure sits at on load? Have you beefed up the voltage at the fuel pump (relay switched direct feed wiring)? Do the real easy things first before you swap parts out, work smart, not hard. Always start with diagnostics.

I wouldn't know about any others, mine came with a gtr pump and now has a bosch 044 intank. Noisy beastie and could be too much overkill for what you need. Used a walbro in my brothers eb-xr8 that is still going well after three years but would hesitate before putting one on any car I own.

A bosch 040 isn't a straight swap either - you will have to do some bending and or cutting of the pump bracket. If you want a straight swap the nismo ones will fit straight in, or a GTR pump (i think). I ended up using a walbro one which fit onto the original fuel pump/cradle - not perfectly, but without permanently modifiying anything.

If you do end up deciding on an 040 though, I have a brand new, unopened, one for sale...

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
