looking at the dollar to yen buying some sort of HKS bolt on or even the Greddy range will put a pretty big hole in ur pocket e.g a GTRS for the 25DET would prob cost you 3k ? but you could always buy a GCG high flow which cost about 2.8k or even go the Garrett GT30 turbo's but you will need to mod the dump pipes and lines :D the GT30's are about 1.8k lines around $200-400

Cheers

Chi

best to just replace with stock in my opinion cause upgrading to higher hp turbo will mean new injectors, afm, ecu, piping, dump, oil lines etc. With a budget around 2200 it wouldnt be enough imo

Unless that gt28 is a direct replacement for the stock one which i doubt, correct me if i am wrong someone. Then if it is a direct fit your looking at around 300rwhp before the injectirs/afm max out anyway. Is the price worth an extra 40hp?

replace with stock mate....

if your looking to go a/m you'll probably need to updgrade injectors, afm and ecu etc and as your looking for a cheap option just stick with the stock turbo and save money to do the support mods first then do the turbo upgrade... no point in a big turbo if it aint gonna hit boost till 6thou revs

i've also got a standard turb for sale in VGC pm me if interested but yeah if u go for a bolt on GT30 turbo, if u read in forced induction people are having trouble controlling boost .....i think its better to get the "real" garrett GT30 without the chopped up RB housing and you can bolt a GT30 onto the standard manifold no probs  just need to make oil/water lines and new dump pipe

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
