Cam gears should be cross compatible I believe...at least they all seem to be listed as being suitable for RB20/25/26

Price varies from around $125 per cam gear to around $329.

Just remember to take into consideration variable timing if you change the intake cam gear.

Also stay clear of the cheap ones you see floating around eBay! There's a thread somewhere on which eBay parts to stay away from.

Also if you haven't already bought them, it's a good idea to do your idler and tensioner pulleys and also seals as well when changing the belt over. The timing belt is a big job on the RB engines so while they're in that part of the car you'd be nuts not to do them also.

thanks for the reply N-DAWG! i'll keep that in mind when buying stuff on ebay.. on second thought, i'd rather talk to people who knows this things.. atleast they can point me in some kind of direction..

yeah the mechanic says that he'll do the idler, tensioner pulleys and seals as well.. but i'll double check with him..

i wasn't quite sure about the price he quoted me for the hks cams.. he gave me $660 supply and fitted.. a lil' pricey at the time but then i realized that them things isn't cheap when i was asking around..

also, a $990 price reasonable for having the timing belt replaced? that includes idler, tensioner pulleys, seals and performance timing belt suppllied and fitted.. reason im asking is, this is the first time i've ever owned a skyline? i was suprised they cost that much..

i guess im just looking for a confirmation/comparison about this things knowing that im not getting ripped off..
