Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help me here.

The situation is that I got a boost gauge install in my car, and I'm having trouble with the boost/vacumn hose.

The problem is that it keep spliting at where it joins the T.

I have notice that if I run high boost, the hosing will just split!!

It is getting frustrating now because it has happen about 5 times.

And everytime I'll have to cut it back and reconnect it to the T. But now I'm up to the point where it can't cut back no more.

Well basically my question is can I run the boost gauge without the T?? Like straight from the trothel body to the aftermarket gauge, instead to both the standard gauge and the aftermarket one.

If not can I use other type of hose that will not split?? And where can I get them?? I have even try using tape around the hose to stop it from splitting put still split she went.

Any advice would be helpful.

Cheers

Nar no probs rs73.

I have an Autometer for the boost gauge and i'm using a Turbosmart single stage to tune the boost. At the moment i'm running about 11psi on high boost. Normaly it is just on standard boost. I think the autometer does a pretty good job considering the price of it with some of the japanese brand.

Sorry I can't excite you with all the expensive gear haha. I was pretty broken then and still are now hehe.

What boost gauge where you thinking of getting? Maybe should look out for second hand ones.

was thinking to get HKS Chrono.... i think latest stuff but thinking about it is too expensive with the control unit too ($450+).

then my second choice goes to Blitz Racing DC II, looks nice but only about $50-60 cheaper than the HKS as it's also electronic and requires a live unit....

so I had to go lower, don't really like Apex EL style nor the plain Greddy ones, so I decided on a 52mm Blitz Racing i-D. Not bad, and being mechanical, it's less than half price of what HKS Chrono cost. Plus after discussing it with my bro, he recommend that one as it looks quite good. (I'm hoping the 52mm will fit into the round clock space on R33 dash)

Man they look nice. Wish I had more dole! hehe.

I like the Defi black out gauges. Check them out, they have these closing and opening ceremony.

Flashy lights everywhere.

Are you going to try to install it where the clock is?? That's pretty small hole. You might have to make it bigger.

Yeah they look nice. I haven't actually measured the clock diameter yet but anyway if it doesnt fit there I can always mount it somewhere else.

Defi is nice too, but also a bit pricey, somewhat in the HKS Chrono range, I think... They even have triple DIN gauge, but sadly no boost. Two temp meters (one for oil, one for water) and a pressure meter (oil?).
