R33 Ecu

is it possible to "re program" a stock ecu on a na r33. if so would one of these do the job?

also the other day in the wet taking off the back end "stepped out" and after that for about the next 10 or so minutes the car felt really weird like the back end was floating and like the car was going sideways a bit does anyone know what this could be?
