Hey all completed my first track day today and on the last lap my exhaust temp/gas light came on. I pulled into the pits thinking i was going a little to hard in the hot weather and let it cool down for a good 45mins. When i went to go home the light was still on and is still on now.

Any ideas to what could be causing my problem? only mods are a 3inch turboback zorst with a highflow cat.

thanks.

Its just the cat probe light you mean?

If so, its just there are a over temp warning for the stock cat.

Basically a warning about nothing if your car is modified. Is the sensor stuck into the cat you have? If not, then it shouldnt be lighting up

Yeah there is a sensore stuck in behind the new cat.

Yeah its the light with the pic of the little zorst with the heat lines coming off it.

Just pull the sensor out and cable tie it to the underside somewhere (there should be a few places).

Then just reset the ECU... light should go away.

After that you shouldnt ever have to worry about it again. Its a useless sensor, and with increased boost etc, temps go too high and set the warning off even though its of no concern.

Oh ok might take it to my mechanic and see what he can do. Just noticed after 5 min of driving it goes away and then when you come to a complete stop it comes back? could it have anything to do with the petrol/octain booster i was running today was just the nulon stuff?

No idea, maybe.

Either way just dont worry about it dude, its just relating to the cat as i said... your not running a stock car, so dont worry.

I dont know one person that has thiers connected, and some aftermarket cats dont even have provision for the sensor :)
