Hey guys,

Entries for IDA Drift Day at Wakefield park is now open.

The last few drift days have been lacking in numbers, meaning the club is losing money and makes it more difficult to hold more days.

If your interested please follow this link to the IDA site: http://www.initialdrift.com.au/forums/view...f=16&t=7675

It is a Practise day and alot of people try drifting for the first time.

D-Day, Wakefield Park - 15th February 2009

Sorry guys but we had to pull the plug on the GP day, we want to be around next year to run more days so we couldn't gamble any more of the clubs money on people not showing up.

This event will be a multiple car drift day on the North Circuit (Driftland) at Oran Park. Two different layouts will be run to cater to all skill levels.

YOUR CAR WILL NEED TO PASS SCRUTINEERING - Working seatbelts or valid harnesses, properly installed seats, working brakes and brakelights, working windscreen wipers if it rains, all wheelnuts present and no leaks are the basics. Convertibles will not be allowed unless they have a rollcage that extends above the driver's head. Any questions, please ask or read the FAQ below.

YOU WILL NEED AN AS1698 (that little red and silver sticker) APPROVED HELMET, LONG SLEEVES, PANTS AND CLOSED SHOES

Please note that your car must have some sort of secondary bonnet restraint (bonnet catches, or a strap or cable of some type) and have all holes in the firewall and floor sealed up.

A free sausage sizzle and drink will be provided for all drivers who enter. That doesn't include extra ones for your mates or girlfriend!

***IMPORTANT UPDATE***

Due to the lack of interest this day will now be a No Speed Limit Day and Drift Day.

If you want to come for a thrash on the track you can pay on the day.

a whole bunch of people from another popular import site are headed to the track day to watch. feel free to join us. pm myself or Mang, or heaven forbid, check NS for the details.

What is "NS" ?

is that like N/A ?

oh i get it, you feel all superior because you confine yourself to a site related to 1 type of car...... who's laughing at who?

A sense of humour not superior. .........."Why so Serious"

BTW - I drive a Supra and Skyline now and have had more diifernet types of cars than you've had birthdays. Correct I enjoy the SAU site and dont visit many other sites. I've been to NS a fair while ago and at that time yes I was dissapointed with the online conversations.

Touche', good retort, you win the personal attack point. I concede and CBF'd to respond further. Flame wars - Meh!

i'm amazed i managed to write something so coherent that had any level of intelligence about it given the level of intoxication i was working through. the better part of a bottle of CC seemed like a good idea last night - it didn't at 7am when i woke up for the charity cruise

i get what you mean about NS - i find it more sociable than this site (online), but a lot of it is school kids talking shit or the same old questions regarding SR's & drift setups. ACT SAU members seem to have more regular meets & events like skid-pan days than NS too. i think the last thing NS did together was a paintball day ages ago.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
