G`day Jippa,Well having tryed to get some sort of meet happening before & Having lot`s of yes`s & great new`s, NOTHING happened  so i would say i would like to have meet up on monthly base & chat coffee & sort out run`s WHO`S looking for what bit`s ,so good luck ,as for cruise`s any one can sort one OUT ,but again no one seem`s to sort it so may be look at getting few to set plan up so more have say & more are involved ,cheer`s chuckie.

anyone?
Well Jippa may be a bit later on in morning but it`s like your the only ONE :) ,but your welcome to drop past mine would be sweet to have bbq on sat morning :) ,LET`S HOPE ARE FELLOW OWNER`S COME OUT MORE OFTEN :P ,may be look at one night a month at someone`s OR local spot with BBQ`S so can cook up storm :) ,hope to see you soon cheer`s

I feel that Chuckie's right, 8:00am is a bit early...... not for me though (check my post time)!

However, I would rather go to someones place too, or somewhere a little cosier. I think it'd be less distracting and IF we are serious about organising some regular cruisin' then that may make it easier.

Not trying to rain on Jippa's breakfast idea though.

If the breakfast bbq is gonna be on, I still reckon later, say 9am.

I won't stay around after though; Sailing in the afternoon, need to be in South Perth at 12 noon.

There are some really nice spots around Perth to do this other than city beach, but that's a good place to start. Gets a +1 from me. :)

would be interested aswell in catchin up Jippa....8am is way early but what happened to making an effort? things dont happen if people dont go and make an effort....if your still looking at having this im sure we can come on down.

As for the whole meetup and cruising like chuckie was saying i organised them for ages getting together and you can never get everyone completely happy and you will get bitching but hey i made the effort on several occassions to get cruising regularly and on most reports back people enjoyed themselves...i think sometimes its easier to say having a cruise on this day meeting here and then you dont get a lot of the yes, no's maybe's! obviously if there are a lot not going you can change the date so more can attend. it would be good to get back to the old'er days when we all enjoyed cruisng and catching up!

I am on this like a fat kid on a cupcake. I fkn love early morning BBQ's! Name a time and place and I will be there. Soo busy with reno's and shiz I need an excuse to wash the plaster dust off and have an adult conversation every now and again.

Hey guys, I think that Kings Park or City Beach don't make much difference. So why not stick to City Beach.

We can organise the next one from there, maybe make that Kings Park, or other.

9:30's OK, should be starving by then, and maybe awake too!!

ok city beach it is.. im going to get there at 9 to secure a bbq and warm it up.. everyone ok with bacon and egg burgers and some snosages. so people coming so far are john, dale, me, chucky? kirsty?

dont forget to bring your bathers as im sure the water is gona be really nice.. feel free to bring along the whole family. just let me know numbers so i can get enough food

yea mate this saturday.. if we get enough people interested was going to leave from city west at 9 and drive to city beach

Cool, cyas at City West @ 9am

Will be bringing a mate as we have to leave for Capel about 11am.

ok role call so far dale and family, bubba, bunky s13, appealing, wildcat and family?( u still have 2 stageas in the garage?). chucky? plus myself. anyone whos keen to meet at citywest at 9 see u there at the front carpark facing the city otherwise see everyone at city beach after 9.30

    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
    • The video for the servicing and fuel filter change can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44 One of the main jobs I wanted to do before the car officially went on the road, was to remove the awful looking blue silicone hoses. There's nothing wrong with having coloured silicone hoses, but I realise as I'm getting older I prefer monotone engine bays with a splash of colour on the engine cover(s). I cover this in a lot more detail in the Youtube video, so unfortunately there's limited photos of the process. The intercooler, upper radiator, boost vacuum and upper breather hoses were all changed to black silicone with mikalor clamps. The only blue left is a blanking cap at the back of the inlet manifold and the GReddy pulleys (which will be replaced for stock when the cambelt gets replaced) While the intercooler pipes were off I gave them a quick clean/polish too A before photo I do have a replacement air filter on its way. Fuse box covers were painted blue, they're now satin black Another job on the list while the bumper was off, is to add some mesh https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737966256_99b28bfa30_c.jpg[/img] I was hoping to use some thin wire to secure it, but it seems I've misplaced it and the wire I had was too thick to twist easily. I ended up using cable ties for the time being https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131882_c2b7989dcc_c.jpg[/img] Was pleasant to see this https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131627_8b2aab13b3_c.jpg[/img] The last thing to do was to fix the front grill and re-mesh that to match but I ran out of time The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4FsF6tgizE&t=23s
