the annoying thing is my clutch has started making a whirring/grinding noise now on start up/when cold. Bastard car knows when I have money I swear...

Its not slipping or anything yet so I'm not too worried. Dad reckons it could be the throwout? bearing. I don't know enough about clutches to comment. It makes the noise when the clutch is in so I'm assuming its not disengaging properly. The noise can be heard faintly in neutral when the clutch is out but normally goes away when the clutch is in. Now on start up the noise just gets louder.

Any ideas?

Hopefully that will stay at the bottom of my mod list although there's only suspension left.

haha excuse thats a good one. Clutch will stay in the car until it absolutely, positively needs to be changed. Unless its free reving in 1st gear then its good enough lol.

Fairly sure I could get a throwout bearing for it, I'll have to find out . As I said I really don't want to change the clutch, its holding fine now and I wont be looking at a power increase for awhile. So I don't see the point in spending money on it when I don't need to.
