the man builds thousands of clutches, 3 of them have issues and all of a sudden his clutches are no good.

the man runs a business , has insurance for these sort of misshaps, and will sort it out.

I have to agree with this guy and besides that was a year ago I think its safe to say its sorted now . . . .. if not ill deal with that when the time comes :D

sorry we will have to have a sudden death match as i called dib..\

u can take the leb spec hyundai

oh helllsssss no!

ok ill take the vspec then :P

I'm also running a Jim Berry clutch, and I have no qualms about doing it. The man knows what he is doing, and builds damn fine clutches. They sh*t all over the likes of some 'reputable' brands such as exedy. Good jap brands such as OS Giken, etc, sure, also great clutches, but my Jim Berry was far cheaper, more suitable for what I use it for, and drives like a stock clutch.

And speeking of rotaries, it looks like a super fast one might have decided to play for the Road 8 sprint championship :D. But even if he wins the last 2 rounds I should have him, as long as i get a half decent result in both.

Oh thats right about your bike..

ive modifed it for you so u have more controll and feeling over it....

ive listen to what josh did with his bike when he used to ride and removed the seat and increased the diameter of the pipe making it longer and wider *blackman standards i think josh said* pop down for a test ride!

---

are you sure ur gonn have it by friday? not monday/

True and I agree but stuff like clutch I rather pay a lil more and forget about the thing as a whole which is why the Nismo twin coppermix will be the 1st on my list (hope that'll NEVER be in the list).

i do like that option - you can tell your friends you are going for a bike ride and tehy think nothing of it, have you put the rubber cap over the end? i like it to feel more realistic, umm i mean comfortable :D

yeh should be friday mang, 3 business days, and i banked her tuesday so wednesday, thursday, friday

:P

Get my msg CoLin?

Yeah I'll let you know. Probably not keen so early. I hate getting up that early on days I don't have to :D

Its the end of the world

Certainly seems like it.

Gunna be ready for driving tomorrow night?

If Exedy was such a shit clutch why do they have world wide branches world wide and manufactures choose their clutches to be used in factory produced vehicles..

Daikin has been in the market for years and still goin strong..

exedy only gets a bad name from people floggin off fake shit that looks like exedy but not.. even NPC use exedy internals but they use their own clutch case..aswell as people choosing the wrong clutch for their application..

generally most people dont understand that its reccomended to do around 500km's of soft driving before u start to punch it.. its generally the same for the carbon clutches but they need to be at specific operating tempretures before it starts to work since its a specifc racing clutch.

do i dare ask the retail on one of those??

Clutches are a consumable you will need one eventually lol.

If I was going to go JB clutch again I would definitely be asking for the anti burst cover/shield whatever its called.

yes u banked it.. but did u tell them u want it out when it clears too??

with banks when its over 4 digits you need to give them a day or two notice.

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
