Yeah stock ecu can be tuned

have you done all the normal stuff like check for air leaks and had the O2 sensor replaced? those 2 things can have a massive bearing on economy as well

^ nah not yet, only had the car for a week or so (bad idea to buy it during exams, its a big distraction) getting full service next week, will go from there but yeah forgot o2 sensor may be the cause (doubt its ever been replaced)

i think a beer might fix my hangover.. usually does but f**k im on the verge of yacking.. hungover working in an office FTL

lolz drinkning watching random music channels on fox with laptop ftw

    • Did you take the MX5 for a Blat around the Track at all?
    • LOL, "they said it might be slippery"..... 30 seconds in your off, 60 seconds in white twin backs into the corner That new track looks good, and the Datsun was chopping cars quite nicely
    • I'll get one of these also just for giggles
    • I bought 6 new spark plugs to compare readings. They will be here tomorrow and ill see if meter is far off if it all. I know one is at least reading 0 so its best replace all anyway if one is bad, from experience. I still have to test the harness just to be sure its not a double issue and I waste my time haha-the old plugs are iridium I always thought those lasted more than 50,000 km.
    • If you take the top half of the intake off you can unbolt the flap off the shaft and leave the shaft in there blocking the hole. Then you can remove the little vacuum canister off from under the manifold and get a spare vacuum line to run to the ECU. I can take some photos of it later. Probably best to get the vacuum source to the ECU sorted first though. Mine all worked mint with the base map from the GTT an I've pretty much let the closed loop sort the fueling and took 1 degree out of the whole timing map.
