Middlemount if you know where that is. About 2hrs from Emerald up north towards Mackay.

Those 57d are the perfect drifter rims imo. Cheap and good + you get all the attention you need with the colours they offer. Hahaha.

Yes. Not all Gramlight but the specific design I'm suggesting. The 57d were quoted by Streeter

Comparing to

These would be a lot cheaper with the current exchange rate sitting around 85?

Brandon:

Wheels of choice for your car would be Gold Gramlight 57Pro, Gold GTC or White LMGT's

Don't forget that you will pay around 20% more when you go to pick it up from the docks in custom duties and GST.

Also, even if the rate on xe.com says 85yen, the rate the bank will be paying is only going to be 82yen and you have to minus 2 yen on his side also. So if xe.com says 85yen then expect to be paying at approx 80yen and $1800 will actually cost you an extra $360 to pick up when it lands

I wanna know the design part of things rather than operational for starters. And I'll need the commission experience if I wanna go down the path I'm planning.

What have they got up there that they are working on? Power plant or something?

Nah too expensive for drifter rims. Better off buying second hand since you're just gunna wreck them anyway. imo anyway.

You should ask streeter if he can send each wheel via EMS one at a time. You will pay a tiny bit more but avoid custom duties

Now you're on the trolley ;)

In other news. Who is going to the SAU Qld Christmas dinner? I reckon I'll put off paying my fine till the 14th and make an appearance :)

Yea I know that. That quote I got was long ago before I bought these LMGT4. I wouldnt have having those hideous coloured rims on my car thats for sure. But if I'm having a drift car say 180? I'll get them.

True sounds pretty good.

do they need environmental consultants?

Oh wait i shouldnt leave here this time next year i will be preparing for my long service leave!

There are engineers on site that sit in offices all day designing/planning new u/g and open pit shiz.

Will I assume your talking about wanting to be involved with the civil design stages of the sites ? eg. processing plants and other structural aspects ?

What do you do in the mines Dan?

I'm an electrical/controls engineer bro. I'll really just be doing the maintenance stuff if I'm onsite. Its normally the process boys that decide what to upgrade etc and from there the other discipline will get the work done.

Thats a bloody good question! Yes Dan, what do you do in the mines???? Must be a desk job since you have a whole lot of whoring time!

;)

I already told you , Im a giver . . . . Oh wait do mean my job ? lol

Im a surveyor ;)

Is it standard surveyor stuff while the mines are under construction or is the place your working at operational?

Maintenance = suicide. I wouldn't be able to do that anywhere especially if I was going to be stuck in the middle of bumf**k nowhere.

Geeezzzz that post was a bit slow since the question is answered ....

Yep fail.

Dan Yep i did environmental science

Colin, dont be upset that we get paid lots to do pretty much nothing except write reports that ever so slightly change the project...yet every one has to wait for them because of silly environmental legislation haha

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
