Nope :P I 'was' going for the nistune but now I'm not sure if I'm going to keep my car or not. Nistune being a cheap and very effective option...

Ask any mechanical engineer and they'll tell you if you want max power, forget about it being economical....

But I'm an Electrical Engineer... its about optimising and being efficient!

update:

car didnt make it out my driveway due to epic low

:bunny:

yes this means it is running strong

it's not that bad of a driveway :P ... how much stupid sauce was on the low burger?

*edit* and congrats on katie being up and about again :D *high five*

I didn't think there was a particularly good option for nistunes on 25s?

Either having to use a 20 ECU and lose VCT, or doing some sort of dodgy on a Z32 ecu?

You can't trust them though, they're always drunk.

Yeah the best option is using the z32 and keep vct. Its a pretty simple change over, no dodgy shit :P z32 ecu's are pretty cheap too and I spose you can get a lil money back selling your manual 33 ecu to someone doing a conversion...

Def agree with the drunk comment. Old uni mates are absolute pissheads....I envy them :bunny:

Nah man hes sayin when you start to chase power you throw fuel economy out the window

I'm a computer systems engineer... its about... um... getting the most amount of pay for the least work? :bunny:

Maybe he needs to learn how to leb-spec it more?

I'll repeat what I said before.....SICK AS AIDS, breh. Chuck some planks of wood across your driveway

Exactly! This guy gets what I mean :P

Coolies. I guess the only real downside then is you're still stuck with one of them dodgy AFM things

that's the best you could do for Damian's page?

:P

hectik uleh....

12 grand 380hp at 19psi,

can these things even handle that sort of power or is just wheelspin when u put ur foot down ?

300kms to a tank FTW :bunny:

450kms!!!

And even if I give it a bit every now and then, I'll still get 400kms. Anyway more accurate way to measure is 14L/100km

Nice! I was born in Mackay.

Whats out there? A mine or something?

They way I read it is that he was driving it up hills and leaving it in high gear (ie 4th or 5th) and then as it loaded up up the hill it started to struggle, so he held the clutch in instead of changing down a gear :P

Yea. We're building a new Coal Preparation Plant. I'll be there at least till end of May and probably go back again when I'm back from holiday until end of September when commissioning finishes.

Oh. I dont really read everything. Maybe thats why John gave me the "he's at it again". Hahaha I merely looked at the riding and slope. The first thing that came to my mind is taking off whilst on the slope.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
