hectik uleh....

12 grand 380hp at 19psi,

can these things even handle that sort of power or is just wheelspin when u put ur foot down ?

Easy, plenty of RWD cars make more than that. You just need some throttle control.

Of course, no VL driver ANYWHERE has throttle control, so yes, it probably just wheelspins when he puts his foot down :P

A poor skyline owners life story :bunny:

lol

450kms!!!

And even if I give it a bit every now and then, I'll still get 400kms. Anyway more accurate way to measure is 14L/100km

hmm, i get about 14 too. Either your tank is bigger than mine, or I'm not emptying it enough...

Yea. We're building a new Coal Preparation Plant. I'll be there at least till end of May and probably go back again when I'm back from holiday until end of September when commissioning finishes.

Sweet az.

Adam, I am serious. I'm going to punch you in the vaginee when I see you next for posting that on a skylines forum.... LOL

+1

that's the best you could do for Damian's page?

:bunny:

:P of course I know what he meant on this one! I'm just trying to state all engineers dont see the same most of the time. Like f**ken process engineers dont gives a shit about others when it comes to changing process and making their dreams come true. What kinda rubbish answer is "Oh it'll be good if everything is VSD" when you asked which motors need to be VSD.

They came with damn good motor. But thats about all they got going for them...

He was actually talking about the fact you had the first post on page 666, and it was not in any way :P

A dirty leb spec VL

60L or 65L tank I think

Hmm sounds about the same. Im normally only putting 45L or so in from memory.

RB25 VL, with pursuit steelies for 12 grand :D

Oh it had a 25 in it? Fail. All VLs should have RB30 turbos with hektik dose

I work with about 7 engineers up here and they all shit me to tears

2 of them are ok outside of work but the rest are a bunch of f**k stains all the time

Oh and your ok Brandon :bunny:

i wana try that GlassyLite stuff to clean headlights, but ive heard if you have sand them then the nice bits on you lights will mess up and the dirty bits will becum better, giving overall a uniform look on the light, so i was thinking since my lights dont have the yellow fever, i wont sand the surface, just use the cleaning scrub and the selant you provide with the kit, has any1 tried glassylite before?

Hahaha, yeah brandon's cool. We need a token asian guy anyways :P . To the rest of them....I think they should take the advice and enquire about this add...

Nahuhh. K&N!!!! Lol, in all honesty the apexi ones are good.... I use the K&N ones with the extreme top and inverted shape.... Similar design to the apexi but half the price. Blitz are the ones that f**k your car up :P

BMC or if you are on a budger Drift FTW

Ask any mechanical engineer and they'll tell you if you want max power, forget about it being economical....

Depends, at the cruise load point in my R32 i had the mixtures somthing like 16 to 1 with bugger all ignition timing, managed over 500 km to a tank mixed driving and got from sydney to coffs harbour on just over 40L which worked out at somthing like 7.5L per hundred.

Though on the same trip i used a whole tank in 125km tearing around wakefield!

Dan sells BMC ones, i checked them out when i dropped the car off, but i dont like the colour, and theyr massive !

i didnt realise astetics were the main criteria for selecting one of the more important parts of your car

Wear coloured glasses and then you won't have a colour problem...and cos you said that, this applies to you too http://www.youtube.com/user/jonlajoie#p/u/34/epUIRJiYEWo LOL

    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
    • It's needed for rolling idle up, and I think it is a decider on VCT also.
    • I mean, not really. Link ECU's can absolutely still have errors from the ECU thinking it's getting a sensor it's not expecting. I would imagine the speed at the ECU level in Nistune does absolutely nothing anyway? I assume the ECU does not do any fancy TC stuff with regards to front+rear wheel speed or anything of that like anyway. Someone who uses Nistune may be more fluent in it.
