Inner West Crew Whoretown (toowong/st Lucia/kenmore/indooroopilly And Sometimes Sunnybank?)

cheers, I always lol when people think that an s13 is in some way slower and less capable than a r33

That's unfair though, 33s are boats.

S13s certainly plough a field better :)

they're a good engine, shame about the noise (and lack of cylinders)

yeah the noise can be ok with bigger turbo and decent exhaust, the more its muffled the worse it is lol, will never sound as good as a RB though...as for lack of cylinders pfftt 86mm x 86mm goodness, its the goldern ratio for revs vs torque, any more cylinders and you would end up with a silly little thing that doesnt make peak torqe till 6400rpm! :)

I love tractors now, i am seriously considering ditching the GTR when its rebuilt and focusing my efforts on the sil80

tristan likes this a lot, a hell of a lot :)

yeeh will never be as good as rb - but can sound tasty, oh and epic sr flutterzzzzzz

:) i was joking

dave and i just re did my zorst to sort out all the epic leaks - we used that high heat gasket goo and gaskets

:)

Don't spose you know what the standard "3inch" gasket part number is? I CBF tracing the flange's and taking it in to super cheap

dave has it :)

does this mean the junker is coming out? not out of the closet - just out thursday?

Depends..

I haven't order'd a de-pu$$y pipe yet, because I dunno if it well sell today on ebay, plus i CBF fitting the front pipe myself

I don't bother with any gasket goo or anything with exhaust gaskets...

just go into rapeco and ask for a standard 2 (or 3 if thats what you need) 3" exhaust gasket. They'll find it for you. Or an exhaust shop

i opted to be a pussy instead of getting a de-cat :)

i like that you're keeping it hahaha :) (or at least thinking about it)

    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
    • EMU Classic. For what I need it to do I see no reason to upgrade. Link and Haltech would both cost an extra chunk of money for a lot of unutilized features
