afternoon mangs!

no need for drinking games. pretty munted atm with 3/4 bottle of jack in me. =D

anywho. time for me to pretend that i have a life.

cheers lads!

Hey Mangs. How was teh weekends?

I ended up at the Body, Mind Soul thing at the RNA showgrounds. The halfway-wife din't know much about it and we needed toget outta the house so we went. If you like Gypsie and Hippies, this is for you!

Anyone know/recommend a good detailer on the northside? Mate wants his car done inside and outside before he sells it

I'm on the Southside but I can probably help. PM me if you want

Sarp mangs. Productive weekend with plenty of macgyvering with the 31.

Fitted new taillight

Macgyvered front bar indicator holders (Dad did this I was reduced to covering everything in insulation tape, I suck at electricity)

Macgyvered passenger side indicator repeater thingy

GTR seat is fitted properly now with 4 bolts

Fitted the washer bottle and fixed washers

Replaced some heater hoses. (As we finished up another on sprung a leak so more hoses still to be replaced)

New wiper blades

Washed it.

Pretty happy with how the weekend went. Got up too late on Saturday to get all my tyres n shit sorted so Dad is going to sort all that out during the week. Other than that the only thing left is to replace that leaking heater hose and it's ready to go fail a roadworthy lol.

I haven't checked all the bushes in the front end so I'm expecting something up there to be f**ked but it might not be that bad. Some of the stuff in the back has been replaced with urethane bushes so I might get lucky lol.

bishes

i went horseriding for the first time. 2 hours in a saddle was painful

got possibly the world's dumbest horse, but anyways

got tomorrow off as i have some furniture arriving, so am sitting, with bourbon of course, watching webber fail again at f1

England should win this

forgot about the soccer

with both aus and serbia out, don't really give a crap who wins

as long as it's not the italians

god i hate italians

You have a guinea pig John? Do you take it on walks?

We just got him yesterday. He's too fast and untrustworthy to take on walks (already had to fish him out from behind the TV cabinet!), I'll get him a wheel.

morning mangs

f*ck its cold

watched the f1, too tired to watch the soccer. Recorded it to watch this afternoon though, and was trying really hard not to find out the result (yeah good luck). Figured it was safe to go to the f1 site since I'd seen that:

Sebastian Vettel got his title challenge back on track on Sunday after ending his recent victory drought with an excellent win in Valencia. A minor brush with Lewis Hamilton aside, it was a flawless performance from the German, who then went on to see his nation defeat England in their World Cup clash. A good day all round then…

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

good thing is the bushes are all available locally and pretty cheaply

i recommend super pro (can get them from fulcrum or bursons) if you do need to replace any

Yeah I used super pro on the 32 so will be getting them again when the time comes.

All horses are stupid. N yeah horseriding is probably one of the most uncomfortable things you can do lol.

England should win this

You f**kin jinxed us!

freaky lookin guinea

on a side note, the english won't be happy. ball was in by a meter

Yeah robbed tbh. If they came out for the second half at 2 - 2 I think they would of won. But such is life :D

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
