Sink hole in Brisbane

You guys are probably all tucked up in bed but try and avoid Felix St in the CBD if you can.

That is crazzzzzzzzzzy!

sick as a dog too... why is it so hard to get the good shit at the chemist these days...

i wasted $16 on some bullshit cold and flu yesterday and its done nothing, give me the farkin good stuff...

im not going to turn it into speed, i just want it cause it works...

Also not a fan of phenylephrine?

I agree, the good stuff works so much better....... it's horseshit that it's pretty much banned, and if you ask for it specifically you get looked at like you're gonna cook stuff from it. f**kers.

Morning Mangs

Martin bit of a tough one there, Team Lotus or Lotus-Renault. I do prefer the Lotus-Renault for the traditional JPS colour scheme, will be a good year though for them, massive factory upgrade, new importer into the country (don't have to deal with proton anymore) and new models coming out, looks like i'll be a little busy.

They are both Lotus-Renault. Well, one might be Renault-Lotus. Too confusing. Should be interesting when the courts figure out which one is allowed to call themselves Lotus, what will the other one do?

The Renault one (JPS) is called the R31

But the Kube had a massive rally crash the other day :( so I don't think he'll be driving it. I think I'll support Team Lotus. Team Lotus > Group Lotus.

Congrats.

That's what she said.

Yeah, had me wondering what was going on! A second hand box and clutch will cost you a lot less than a hilux or a WRX......The Brumby should keep on truckin' on when you have sorted.

Yeah but it is a massive heap of shit.

Glad that's sorted :D

That's what she said.

McFly, all the fiddly bits are done on youe ECU now. Just need t ofit the chip socket and we're away!

:D Thanks

cheers mate. Kinda need one asap, i think the box in the missus car is about to blowup

Theres a joke there somewhere, I'm sure of it

Yeah it looks like it was a really messy accident. They're still not sure if he'll keep his hand... Here's hoping he pulls through OK.

i should take back the other shit and make them refund it, its shit...

+f**king 11ty billion. Pseudoephedrine (spelling?) is the only shit that works.

Morning Mangs,

Road the bike into work. Didn't appear to take any less time but I did enjoy going to the front of the lights every time  So where is lazserhunt this week?

Yay for bike. Try not to die.

I thought you were organising lazertag?

That is crazzzzzzzzzzy!

You mean placebo-epherine? :P

Yeah shits me off, I wouldn't know how to cook speed even if I wanted to. Plus how much are you going to be able to cook from one pack of cold tablets? FFS.

Home button on my iFail is starting to not respond. Fark.

Looking at a HTC Desire, only problem is Vodafone only offer it, since I'm with three do you think they will work together?

I also discovered recently i won't get my opens till April. Fuuuuu. Apparently if you don't take your p2 test straight away it adds on time. 1 year on p1, 2 on p2, I did 1.3 on p1.

Vodafone = 3 these days, so I'm sure you won't have a problem. Hell the store at strathpine is a combined vodafone/3 store and I'm pretty sure all the rest of them will be to. So just go into a store and talk to them, I'm sure they'll sort it out for you.

I got my HTC Desire trough Telstra, are they not supplying them now?

Sorry, I meant htc desire hd. A friend had one through Vodafone and it was only available on that network apparently due to it only supporting a certain frequency.

Will have to see how much it will be to pay out my contract, it may end up cheaper just to buy one from synnex

I drove through there not half an hour ago

Was fine

Mangs.

Need a recommendation on headphones, listen to metal. My iPod ones stopped working and I can only hear one channel.

Probably 150 is my budget, ideas?

As I said, Vodafone IS three. They will have no problems with switching your 3 contract to vodafone.

All telcos use the same 3g frequency anyway, except for telstra.

Totally. LOL.

Has to be hers

Dan,

Yeah the AM reception is terrible. Won't even work inside the workshop. Sat nav I'm sure about, never turned it on.

John,

Scarnon?

+1 to Senni's.

I own a set of HD555 cans and two seta of ear buds (one with an in-line mic and one without.)

They are all brilliant, can't rate them highly enough. Shot all over the iPod standard ones and all the Sony, TDK and Skullkandy ones I have had in the past.

Spigot bearing is out, newone ready to go in, flywheel machined, clutch ready to go in... just need the right throw out bearing gave me the wrong one with the new clutch kit... :/

*Tips Hat*

FML. No cricket because we didn't get enough players, and got stuck at work and didn't get a chance to send off my turbo before the post office shut. Fail :(

All you futsal mangs should come and play cricket since dan forgot to sign you up for futsal

    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
    • Any idea where I can get genuine MAF apart from used ones? I can't find any only for GTRs and unfortunately that price is not in my budget 🤣 I might gap my plugs down and put my splitfires in, they were only in for a year or so before I started the rebuild
