At that point I will have 2 kids under the age of 1 at home. I don't think I am going anywhere anytime soon.

Just called 'bribane turbo and tuning' or something like that, over at the gabba

To rebuild stock rb25 turbo, assuming parts are available, around $700

To steel-wheel: extra $350ish

To rebuild, high flow & steel wheel: around $2000

Poooooooop.

From Hypergear

Thanks for your email. We can carry out the standard high flow. Which is good for 260rwkws without too much lag compare to stock. Price wise its $960 including GST and braided oil line. I strongly recommend a high pressure actuator (additional $100) if you are looking to run abit of boost into it.

Not to VIC in the skyline, talk about defect central...

Yeah nice, that's what I'm talking about!

Jeremy could you forward that email to me pweeeeeeease? [email protected]

You've got mail. plus spam whistling.gif

I think I just got sea sickness from that HSV...

Wants to be a 33?

Got it, thanks very much for that. Were you going to supply the Neo turbo? I'd say that price is for the work carried out by them, but you still have to supply a turbo to them, is that right?

Says the man with the sedan 33!

Yep.

Ok sick... group buy on hypergear high flows anyone? LOL I'm keen, Jason's looking at doing it towards the end of January/sometime in Feb... Marto what are you thinking? I figure if we talk to hypergear and say "look, we're sending nearly 3k your way, can you do us a deal" we might get something out of it.

Also combining shipping on our 3 turbos would be a plus?

As per Marty

Hence not a boat but a yacht. Sea sickness will still occur though pinch.gif

Yeah keen. The sooner the better though.

Mines a 34 turbo (OP6) and I'd want the $800 + GST + line jobby. Don't need actuator got a HKS one.

Righto.... I'd probably have to wait til around the same time as Jason anyway due to my fundings after Christmas etc

I'd go the same deal, what's it called, a TR43 if you look at the website. Boost range 2000-3800, YES PLEASE!

Do you think I'd need the actuator? I'm using an R32 @ 10psi and a manual boost controller to bleed off another 1-2psi so for now that would be fine...... once I get my emanage installed and tuned though, around 16psi would still be achieveable with that same setup wouldn't it?

Ideally, if I can get a neo turbo in good nick, I'd rather that and just slap it on... seeing as I wasn't planning for a turbo upgrade any time soon :(

Would work out a lot cheaper too

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
