R34 Gtr - Aftermarket Swaybars & Setup?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guyz,

Just acquired an R34 GTR Vspec and looking to upgrade both front & rear swaybars to some aftermarket goodies.

There seems to be a decent variation in bar diameter when comparing Nismo (Has a 27mm fixed rear s/bar) to Whiteline (22/24mm adjustable) or example and wondering what others are using and current Front vs Rear setup including alignment.

Obviously your setup is relative to your preferred driving style and cars intentions (street vs track vs both) but would appreciate

any info to review.

Cheers,

Ben

Your heading down the right path, the sizes vary between manufractures

of sway bars because some are hollow and some are solid hence the

different sizes.I can't speak for the R34 but I had whiteline adj front and

rear on my R32 and transformed the car completely. My preferred set

up was full hard on the back and full soft front.Would highly recommend

getting adjustable though so can tailer it to your driving. As for wheel

alignment maybe search on the forum for others experience's with the

R34 but remember the wheel alignment has a huge part to do with the

extra fine tuning of the cars handling.

Thanks for the response Grunter. I would have thought the Nismo bars are a solid bar but it's certainly a good question to clarify vs Whiteline which are definetely a solid bar.

Surely there are some R34 GTR owners out there that have upgraded their swaybars?

Cheers,

Ben

Also very interested in what ppl are using. i have used whitline before on a wrx and was happy with resullt but due to being solid they re rather heavy. do like that they are adjustable and descent price.

Are ppl using the local goods or finding the jap stuff better.

Really need to do this as m spec has smaller dia swaybars than v spec for comfort reasons.....stupid!

also alignment recommendations from Jim - on whiteline website for r34 gtr
