wow an interesting read there guys.

Has anyone noted that the original response and tv program related to the easily available "hoon" activity easily available through such meduims, why they chose to include them in the footage, but did TT had any predispositions to achieving social justice on any level, why did they collate the "best of the worst" to play on air within the main raitings bracket?

So while they are bad mouthing hoons and the influence this footage CANor MAY have on they youth of australia, they display it at a time when most people of all generations and age brackets are watching and expose it to a wider audience.

It is unfortunate that it is easier to single out a minority which for a long time has a stigma attached which is a menace to society and will absolutely in no doubt kill your children and if not, force them to take drugs, perform underage sex and spawn a generation of doll bludgers that the average whire double income family with 2 children need to support through their taxes. i'm supprised they have not jumped to the conclusion that the import cars also bring in illegal immigrants hiden in the boot carrying sars and child prostitutes.

It is also unfortunate to acknowledge while 5% of the population is sore about labeling enthusiasts and hoons in the same bracket a further 95% of the population agree with the findings or are atleast missinformed enough to believe the unjust and false media properganda they produce.

I'm all in support of those who want to fight but honestly, really is it going to get you anywhere?

maybe... as they do the toy run with bikies 2 weeks after a bikie underbelly society "terrorist" special...

still rather than writing intellegent emails that expose the incompetencies of the channel 7 journalism facalty, their pathetic attemps to reply will fall of deaf ears and wouldn't suprise me if this guygets his jollies off of emails from the minorities he aims to discriminate.

i'd consider it a better option to pin this 'Producer guy" and shit down his throat...

I like to think that there's more than 5% of Australia who watch TT and ACA for comedy purposes only. That said the Herald Sun is one of the best selling papers in the country :)

its true, although i got quite worked up over some stories....now i wont even watch it anymore cos i think we definitely need less stress in our lives.

Especially the hoon stories...speed cameras.....dodgy police etc

I watch it every now and again for a laugh, I only get riled up when people repeat the stuff from those shows like it's fact or try and defend their 'ambush the bastard' journalistic techniques (which the Chaser famously imitated much to Ch 7's dislike).

This is the kind of complete and utter garbage Today Tonight is renowned for, thankfully this kind of advice is legislated against and they copped it, whereas rubbish opinion segments that appeal to people's very low level nature, are not:

    • I've looked up the parts number (41011AL501). It's around $700 OEM. Usually our Infiniti G35 here in Canada have interchangeable parts with my Stagea but the parts number are not the same. I have looked around and it seems the JDM 2005 V35 Skyline (which is the same as our G35) has the same caliper but I cannot confirm. And I can't find a repair kit. The inner brake pads drags on the rotor, seems to be rusty piston. Thanks for the info by the way
    • This coupled with 6-9 speed autos with ridiculously short gearing is why these modern shitbox cars always seem so fast off the line. If it wasn't for those things, Raptors would not seem fast. The problem we have is there is a driveability gap between a more gentle take off and a wheelspinning sideways launch. The difference between ankle flex required to achieve one and ankle flex required to achieve the other is about 0.5°.
    • Yeah I think I'm also with the opposite here. It's 'hard to keep up with traffic' because in the real world I'm accelerating with 15% throttle and they are pinning it. It feels like I'm being an overt dickhead at anything above 15% throttle, so the car sounds like I'm being an overt dickhead to keep up with/get ahead of traffic when I'm really just trying to drive with traffic. There would be no issue 'keeping up with traffic' if we used the same level of throttle input/aggression to drive around. People really do just drive around with their foot nearly pinned in econoboxes.
    • To be fair it's the other way around. 300kw is boring in a modern Golf or BMW. They are so competent / well-engineered / devoid of emotion that you have to go stupid fast to feel anything. Whereas the <300kw RB still makes all the right noises and it feels good to drive. Can pull off at the lights with the turbo whooshing and the blow-off pssshing and feel like the coolest kid on the block. Just don't look to the side where you'll see the bored housewifes in their shitbox Yaris/Corolla/Camry that kept up because you didn't go fast at all
    • 300kW is so boring in a Skyline, you'll get spanked by someone's mum's Golf with Alibaba pipes, and an email tune.
