  1. Nothing more Georgian than letting off fireworks at home, doesn’t even need to an occasion 😂
  2. We didn’t unfortunately, we spent a fair bit of time in old town, but lived in Vake so did most of our drinking around there 😂 Shame we left in November before it got too cold, I heard a lot of people say how beautiful it is around Christmas. Glad to hear you got the car safely!
  3. Such a cool thread and great to see this update, congrats on the car. I spent much of 2021 (while our country lost the plot with lockdowns) living in Tbilisi and I thought of and re-read this. Georgia is my favourite country, I love almost everything about it, I can't wait to get back.
  4. I had these on my R32 GTR about ten years ago. I didn't have the heart to chuck them. They would need a rebuild, the actuators might be useful to someone? Back when I built my car they were anyway. Best offers over $5? Pick up only, Kingston ACT.
  5. I have a couple of 2530s from my R32 from over ten years ago. I'm sure they need a rebuild and have no idea if they're worth anything but didn't have the heart to throw them out. I know the actuators used to be worth a bit on their own, best offer over a coffee? Anyone want them? Located in Kingston.
  6. Depends what you want in a car. I'd not go back to an earlier GTR after having a R35 for 5 years, it's a generation ahead and feels it but is falling behind its competition a bit now, instead competing with the latest German sedans rather than supercars in terms of straight line speed.
  7. Interested in this: Carbon Fibre Console Finisher (Nissan Genuine Part, Brand New In Box) - $300 Do you know if it fits on the CBA?
  8. Yep, there's about 110 Australian R35 owners in the Facebook group. So not much happens on here unfortunately.
  9. Awesome event, can't wait for next years. Keep up the great work.
  10. Some of those comments are pure assumption. GTR-wise, I went from a R32 to a R35 while working in the same job living in the same house. Plenty of people the same. It's nothing to do with class. A tonne of people here dump way more in their older RB model GTRs modifying than them than people spend on R35s. It's still a car, one the can be easily worked on. Sure, like any relatively or new cars people use dealers to service their car. Plus it's new so not a lot goes wrong so you're not going to see a thread on why the heater isn't working because of some connection somewhere. But there's quite a lot of DIY in the FB forum, hell even yesterday there was a thread on how 'stealerships' are calling owners offering cheaper deals for people who no longer use them to service their car! The sad part is that the fact all this information is only available to existing owners, rather than potentially owners, makes it harder for enthusiasts looking at buying a R35.
  11. I'm just sharing my experience and addressing some common misconceptions. Are you always this annoying?
  12. I'm sure everyone on here has a FB account. It's merely reflective of the wider community now. Only owners are allowed in the group, so it keeps out haters, spammers, and general fat etc. I do all the services on my car myself. It's a cheap car to own, there's tonnes of parts and tonnes on info on DIY. Even the gearboxes aren't that expensive to fix when you factor in the fact nothing else breaks on these things (not that mine or many others have broken yet).
  13. The R35 group on FB is incredibly active and there are a lot of members, who all own/tune/race R35s. This forum is an effective double up, so I can't see this offer being taken.
  14. Why do you need to be so adversarial? Given your strong understanding on what it takes to run a site like this and PranK's post on costs, why can't I see that you've made a donation Anfanee?
  15. Well yeah, I got next to no replies to my question, so it felt like it lol. Plenty of R35 owners have had previous Skylines/GTRs (I've had two) and still do have them so there's hardly a superiority complex. I got good help/opinions/parts here from members when I had my other GTRs. There's no way the forum has lost all its value. Anfanee, no need to have a go at Ward, his concern might be legitimate. Maybe also the OP. Ward was also one of the most active users in the R35 section here. And a super-high post count is hardly an indication of quality contribution.
  16. Hey, I posted here in that section! Never mind, I just remembered that was before I got my R35.
  17. You know it's not that simple. Increase power (and what is the average power over the whole lap...?) is subject to diminishing returns. Could it have done better on Michelins? The driver, shit, how much of a difference does that make? Remember it weighs less too, an advantage for most of the time (acceleration), but that's countered by an increase in downforce which negates it also (overall weight increase at certain speeds). It's a 16s improvement on a 444s total time. So in your terms, a 3.5% improvement for $100k (+50% on a stock car). If you want to do better again, buy a Porsche 918 which costs US$845k MSRP vs a GTR NISMO of $200k MSRP. For $645k (+422.5% of the cost) you get a 2.5% improvement. And it's not the aero, four wheel grip, tyres, power or all the development Porsche put into it no? Or too hard to tell? We just have to let the time talk. I think it makes the GTR NISMO appear decent value when not else comes close.
  18. I think a lot of it is aero. Tonne of info and pics about the 2014 GTRs in here: http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/92513-2015-gt-r-gt-r-nismo-live-launch-coverage-discussion/
  19. Great, thanks Andrew. I'll check them out.
  20. Thanks Chris, I did some research and it seems the best thing I can hope for is Bluetooth streaming with a couple of car kits... That will do Shame I never saw a 2010 in white for sale. Thanks Docc.
  21. I can't ask there, I don't have mine until next weekend but I paid for it today, does that count? LOL
  22. Thanks. Agree it's just a car just wondering if there's anyone renowned for doing them out of warrant in Canberra. I'll probably end up doing a lot of the easier stuff myself.
