  1. It's been about cost and safety too. They don't want insanely powerful cars as in the turbo era (except more so), and they don't want it to be too expensive so the wealthiest teams dominate.
  2. It's a load of rubbish, they're just hoping some insanely stupid and insanely rich Sheikh comes along and pays $10M for one so they can retire in Brazil.
  3. I did about 5,000km in my daily driven GTR and they continued to scream. I didn't have a problem with the set of pads on the car prior. Greg from GSL said it might be due to harmonics of some part of the brakes and not the pad, but it never screamed with the Bendix in it until it made a small noise to indicate they were worn out. See how I go with the A1RM set, new discs and copper grease, otherwise Bendix go back in.
  4. HOLD UP. I think I meant 1.3L 360° Wankel. Revs to 8000RPM at output shaft!
  5. An excuse to impose limits was all the road deaths, which were from drunk driving. That'll stop the drunks, fining them for speeding. Most people drive to where they feel safe anyway, save for the odd idiot... Most people did around 90kph on unlimited roads in the NT. I see it here in ACT, there's a few places where it's 80kph and people do 60kph (state circle in particular). But, despite this, people still smash into the guard rail on the off camber corner on Adelaide Avenue. Lowering the speed limit won't change this. As soon as Australia changes its attitude to safe driving practices the better. Less text book drivers and nanny state limits and more skill and responsibility taught.
  6. My brother's 13BT 3.9L 1080° Wankel Cycle RX7 rev-limits at 5280RPM. It uses around 17L/100km. Problem?
  7. Yeah sorry I mean HPX. Noisiest pads I've ever had. I was originally after A1RM but my car was a daily then and the HPX were suggested so I took the advice. I wore out my Bendix Ultimates which were slightly noisy unless they had heat in them (fair enough), but the HPX were unbearable. Embarrassingly so. I cycled heat through them several times and they screamed even more! Giving QFM one more go with the A1RM on new discs before I buy Bendix again. Plenty of people in the brake pad thread raving about how quiet and good they are...
  8. I swapped worn ultimates out for these and the squeel was unbearable, no matter how much I heated them up. I've got new rotors and pads to go in, A1s this time, see how I go. Might try some copper grease too.
  9. I saw you sold a side window rubber early in the thread but thought I'd ask anyway, do you have this in good condition?
  10. After the above, new or second hand. Let me know what you have. Ideally after OEM. Thanks Matt
  11. Thanks Scott. The seller said they have to be stuck on with double sided tape, are OEM stuck on with clips? I'd prefer to clip it then use shitty double sided tape (or something more permanent)...
  12. I'm keen on these two, was it anyone on here that bought a set on 24 August as shown on there? I've never bought off anyone with such low feedback LOL Feel free to direct me to some OEM for sale too...
  13. R34 GTT near Ainslie school with GTR badge on it (please take it off).
  14. Shit they look excellent. http://www.deatschwerks.com/products/fuel-injectors/sport-compact/nissan/skyline/skyline-gtr-rb26dett-89-02 Any one had any experience with them? 750cc or 880cc is sweet. Given they are both $549, I'm tempted to go for the 880cc!
  15. Still haven't done anything (I know!), the car has sat unregistered all winter. Thinking of not fitting the Blitz injectors, but I'm having trouble finding Sard 700s and don't want to pay Just Jap over $1k for them. Are these bolt in, with nothing else to be done as per the 700s? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SARD-INJECTOR-800CC-Twin-RB26-SKYLINE-R32-33-34-GTR-/140458575853?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20b3fbc7ed http://www.nengun.com/sard/injectors 63566 (6 X 800cc) Going to get some new discs and pads and it's time to decide where I get the work done...
  16. If you know of any one wanting a car I'll do it in this (not for free though, sorry ).
  17. Spotted a purple R33 GTR going down Adelaide Avenue on Saturday (I think it was?). Neat car.
  18. Sweet mate, I love the Belvederes (all time fave is '64 Hemi Lightweight - could never afford one!). Great plates your old man has!
  19. The F355 was for sale recently (and might still be).
  20. Shit that looks phat Adam.
  21. Why don't we get into mean, median and standard deviation drag racing time for each example? I think it's far too difficult to say one is better than the other, it's down to many factors. The pragmatic point of view says that with decent powered cars the restrictions of surfaces and street tyres, the 4WD tends to get up on the rest... Unless you are mid engined, or rear engined with massive rears, generally underpowered on the tyres anyway.
