  1. Torque is good for talk, power makes you move. Something doesn't even have to move to make torque. You're all talking about average power, not torque. We're not motoring journos or V8 heads here, we can choose to get it right. http://www.fjr1300.info/misc/torque-power.html
  2. Great stance on those rims mate well done.
  3. Very quick indeed, great stuff. ANDRA really need to look at that 10s rule when mildly modded street cars on stock tyres can manage that. This isn't no 13BT 808 on slicks!
  4. Probably the best bet. The forum often houses positive reviews, people are more concerned about saying negative things in a public space such as this. These are general comments and not at all related to Trojan who for the tiny bit they did for me did a good job at a good price. However for my turbos swap and tune and went with Glenn @ ESP who I was very happy with.
  5. White one? I've seen it a number of times. Once I think it was parked backwards after spinning out and hitting an object...
  6. Boost = pressure at a tangent to flow Power factor = mass air flow
  7. If you naturally do the kms it can work out well. I'm expected to use my own car for work and I'm sick of daily driving a GTR, so it fits. But it does depend on those kms, the car you choose, the finance you're offered and your tax bracket.
  8. It's not that complicated. You just need to run through some scenarios yourself and use an online calculator, making sure you get your figures correct. This one gets reasonably close (for me anyway) and will give you an idea: http://www.fleetplus.com.au/client_centre_calculators If you do 25k kms a year FBT is 11% on the value of the car (assume 0% business use). I'm going through the same thing now, selecting the right car is the annoying thing though. If you don't earn the money or do the kms, it can be expensive.
  9. Bloody hell that is quick. The R35s just get better and better!
  10. No point trying to be different in a Skyline, LOL!
  11. LOL similar to a 200SX? My FD got nowhere near as much (within 10%) out of the same amount of fuel as either of my GTRs around town... From a car that's 200kg lighter. My stock 12As maybe close, but definitely not the FD. Except perhaps on the highway where you can get down around 10L/100km. And don't get me started on any of my bridge ports in cars that are nearly only half the weight of my R32 GTR (and one was injected!). Oh and fact is the FD passed official emissions testing of the day too. Try get an untuned one over now.
  12. With stock cams and proper tuning etc fuel consumption shouldn't increase. I've had 300rwkW rotaries (street ported, mind) and they were not much worse than my FD due to tuning.
  13. Sweet car. Alloy 10A. It did quite well in motorsport. I saw the one owned by Mazda Australia at a local workshop.
  14. Depends on circumstances and average km/h. Typically around 15L/100km. My FD was around 17L/100km under the same conditions. This is 90% of my driving which is city.
  15. HKS fits with Z32s and a stock box, but I made some mods to fit it (longest airbox fitment ever I think). LOL saves me getting a pic. What did you decide?
  16. I sought out a grey one, which made choosing a lot easier LOL. There's a $34k Bayside Blue V-Spec for import from Prestige. Pretty good value with books, despite the 140k kms on it.
  17. You don't happen to have this trim do you mate?
  18. I'll have to take one. Sure . Yeah the previous owner figured not changing the foam pods for 5 years was a good idea, by the time I got the standard airbox and new K&N filter on it was too late .
  19. I have an HKS hard piping kit, should have showed you last Sunday! It made the stock airbox fun to fit. Heaps of my car was/is HKS. Turbos are no longer, the old HKS foam pods killed them! I think the Japanese bloke who used to own it like that brand!
  20. LOL and 'market value' is not actual value either.
  21. Champion, thanks Nathan!
  22. Love the pics of my car (grey R32 GTR with TE37s), thanks mate!
  23. I could have had a mint XB GT Coupe (was an ugly colour - it had 'brown outs' LOL) for $9k back when I was flipping XYs (few years ago now). It was basically fully optioned too. $100k is madness. "The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent" - John Maynard Keynes Never underestimate the longevity of idiocy when it comes to something consider an 'investment'. LOL!
  24. Are you trying to get a contract out on you for that car mate? Haha.
  25. Tap your cat with a broomstick or something and if it sounds like it's full of sand... It's collapsed.
