Mazda Savanna GT (RX3) owns all (Series 1 for me, thanks).

$60 paid for my mate, payment noted as 'GT-R32 No. 2'.

Got a mate with a pretty tough VY SS ute with cam and head work who is keen. If you all don't mind the contrast of a high revving V8 against the scream of the 6s . Let me know and I will pay for him too.

Looks like it requires details that are hard to find for second/third/fourth Australian owners?

If doing mods later and you want more top end, as I plan to, I reckon they really aren't laggy. Then again I had HKS 2530s before so maybe I'm just used to it? I much prefer this kind of delivery to the stockers anyway.

Stock everything -5s my car makes positive pressure from 2k RPM easily and really starts moving at 3k RPM. It's making 300awkW by 5k RPM. At 60km/h in 3rd it's at 3k RPM so not that laggy, really.

I saw it today, black with white plates. Only saw the side GTR badges. Bit wierd LOL.

Exactly Shell. The circumstances vary so widely, while the figures fluctuate in a small place like this. Strangely, my Dad has been at the scene of 3 fatals just hours before they happened.

Hi All I've bought what is my 3rd steering wheel for my 1989 GTR. I finally got an immaculate one. I was told that they were all the same for all years (not from the seller). Well, I found out they aren't. Is there a way to fit later model wheels to the earlier cars? It seems there are some differences to the boss and how the trafficator unit lines up. Will this stuff up my self-turn-off on the indicators? It's pretty frustrating after finally tracking down a good one. Look forward to hearing from those more informed than me... Thanks Matt

Oh... WOT surge, not shut off surge. Depending on what's causing it, more boost will definitely make that worse. In fact, it'll probably just surge at the same point except possibly more. That's bloody weird you are getting it with -5s on a RB26. I've never heard of it (but I don't know much). It needs the engine to ingest more (revs come up), ie. the exhaust wheels to flow more, possibly actuator issues/wastegates to even the in/out of the system. Or, like you suggest, maybe the intake is restricting it somewhere throwing off the balance. Can you describe at what RPM it comes on... I assume it happens reasonably early on then the engine 'catches up' and ingests the air which balances it?

Rattle gun? Sounds like engine knock to me, not compressor surge. Particularly since you're talking about fuel. Compressor surge is air going back through the compressor... Erm... As it surges on throttle shut off.

I don't have these issues with the HKS kit and stock BOVs, they make their typical somewhat annoying noise LOL.

That's exactly what I did - replaced with felt. Bought a glass polish kit from here: http://www.glasspolish.com.au/ Mine are very scratched from this.

How would everyone describe the ride/handling trade off of the SS? I know in the FD RX7 they were great. Looking for R32 GTR specific answers if I can. I have great suspension in my car, but driving daily on shitty Canberra roards, it is far too hard. Considering changing it.

Doesn't the car actually have to have been driven to be defected? LOL
