Performance of the 10 year old Ferrari. Top speed : 183 mph (295 km/h) Acceleration, seconds: 0-30 mph (48 km/h) 1.3 0-40 mph (64 km/h) mph 1.9 0-50 mph (80 km/h) 3.0 0-60 mph (97 km/h) 3.9 0-70 mph (110 km/h) 5.2 0-80 mph (130 km/h) 6.5 0-90 mph (140 km/h) 7.8 0-100 mph (160 km/h) 9.7 Standing quarter mile, sec/mph 12.2/113.5 mph (182.7 km/h) Hardly slow, similar to some times the GTR has done with its launch control disabled.

Yeah, Ferraris are slow pieces of shit. Wait a sec, what car holds the Nations Cup record at Wakefield Park? (F360 GT) And how does that compare to even the V8 SuperCars? (The Ferrari is 0.1s faster) Hyping up the GTR and dissing Ferraris is extremely short sighted. They are capable cars. Sure, they are expensive. But so what? Cars are a matter of taste, irrespective of price. Some people like them and appreciate them for what they are.
-
Or letting them have any of your money encouraging them to go out and fine more people! Spotted a grey R32 GTR near the Pommy Car Show on the weekend, I waved and didn't get one back. It's a weird feel that LOL.

Are they N1 side skirts? If so I'm interested and await pics.

Hi All, I have a pair of HKS 2530s for sale. They've been on my car since approximately 2005. They are pretty stuffed. It appears the previous owner of my car neglected to change the air filters the whole time he had it. They still work, one is pretty noisy on shut off, the other is okay but you'd have to rebuild them of course. I'll get some pics up when I have access to my facebook tonight. The thing is I have no idea what they are worth, so I can't post them in the for sale section... So I guess offers? And any advice on what they are worth would be appreciated. Cheers, Matt

Good bloke. He did a full inspection as he should, the car passed with an advice on sticky ignition switch LOL (I had a new GTR key cut at CLASS not too long ago and it's not a perfect fit LOL). I will definitely be going back. Some old muscle there which is handy to know for me for things I don't want to do myself.

R32 Gtr - Suspected Ticking Relay In Centre Console
GT-R32 replied to GT-R32's topic in General Maintenance
No I don't, sorry I should have specified, no warning lights come on at all. -
Hi all I have what I suspect is a ticking relay in the centre console. I initially suspected G sensor, as it goes off when I go over bumps of any kind or under accel/decel due to forces of the car going foward/back. However, I recently had a Tomei HICAS lock kit installed. Very occasionally the steering feels 'dead' or 'pauses' when turning sharpish corners. I wondered if it has anything to do with it. There are no bad symptoms from this, yet... It doesn't happen all the time, but the ticking occurs a fair bit. Anyone who has had a similar problem I would love to hear from. Thanks, Matt

Prefference For Stroker Cranks 77.7 Or 73.7mm Stroke.
GT-R32 replied to STATUS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I will be watching this one closely. Love your work. -
By the way, as a weekend car (not taken to the track), I'd definitely buy the F360. But I wouldn't get the F1. Regularly driven car, GTR is the obvious choice.

I made a jovial post regarding the validity of supercilious internet opinions. You bit at it, 'wasting time' in the process. I justified my position for doing so, which was pretty freaking clear. Anyway, R35 vs. 360 F1. Back to it.
-
You are free to dislike it for whatever reasons you want. What I'm referring to is when you imply that your judgment is superior to others who do like it, all while having no actual experience with the vehicle. This is the logical fallacy on your part. 1. You don't have to like it, for any reason, nor should you have to sample it. 2. If 1 applies, don't imply that whoever does has made an inferior judgment call (eg. "some like em but only cause they own one"). That is exactly the logical fallacy I was referring to with my jovial post, example follows:
-
Spotted a maroon R33 GTST turning right onto Canb. Ave yesterday at like 7pm. I gave a wave and got a funny look back LOL.
-
I have one of those. They were recommended to me yesterday too! I have it booked in, he seems like a good bloke, I got no attitude merely based off type of car which is a great (and rare!) start. If this doesn't go well I'll be seriously thinking about giving NSW my rego money, I've done it before and I'm prepared to do it again!
-
LOL how did you know?! Agree, ACT rego is seriously ridiculous. This whole country goes very far with rules and regulations, general Government interference! If I can't go ACT I'll try NSW next.
-
I found your thread, it is a long way south (all the way - North Cooma really). Reckon he would wonder what I am doing down there? LOL
-
Ridiculous TiTAN! I'm so sick of the liberties being taken away and marginalisation of certain groups by Governments in this country. Down with socialism LOL! Far out, what a joke. I mean what difference does it make when you actually apply some uncommon sense, any one can cut the springs in their car or take the muffler off but that doesn't make springs or exhausts illegal? You can go home and make your car illegal in about 15 mins if you really wanted, no matter how standard it was, no matter what parts were fitted at the inspection. Funny thing is that my suspension isn't even height adjustable. It just has some other adjustable stuff that's been on it the whole time it's been registered here.
-
Chris S told me that exact thing Shell! At least the ridiculous rules are consistent? Oh wait... Wow. My car isn't even height adjustable. I hope I don't have to go through that. Sorry to hear mate. I just love that kind of attitude. At least some cheap reflectors are easy to put on from Autobarn, LOL!

Everyone should listen to the bloke who hasn't driven the F355 and other people who have read about them on the internet: It's basically a dated, unreliable shit box. LOL.
-
So I attempted to take my car over this morning. R32 GTR. Changes from standard other than replacement items (such as Garrett turbos etc): 17" wheels, a quiet exhaust and (not too low by any means) suspension. Inspection begins and they can't find anything at all that is not allowed, no leaks, all in good condition, everything working. Then the little gem comes out. Adjustable suspension is not allowed. Either weld it up or change it back to factory, new rules for the ACT apparently! I mean WTF? LOL! It's not even height adjustable. So I'm thinking take it elsewhere (any PMs on this would be appreciated) or take it to NSW where they are far more reasonable.

Age is hardly a factor for me. My weekend car was built in 1969 and my daily is a 1989 GTR.
-
I said rational, not sensible. Status is status. Even if you don't like how it is sought. Your point on reliability is a round about way of agreeing with mine. Your points about it being better at just about everything - aside from subjective things such as sound and brand association - support mine. The GTR is a superior car, regardless of age. Regardless of name. Of sound. On a price basis, it does everything better. Blokes with F355s that I have known haven't had those issues. One of them preferred his F355 to his F360 for a variety of reasons, he reckoned it was more useable. I wouldn't know, I've only been in each one a handful of times. I could only go on what I've been told and what I've read on the internet (obviouisly not read enough!). Besides, the F355 was much cheaper to import so it suited me.
-
You of all people know that's part of morality . I've never been in a R32 but my uncle has a 360 F1 Spyder right now (after many other things). He paid $310k for it not long ago at all LOL. As a total package I would say the GTR trumps it. But the noise of the 360 is something else (he paid $6.5k for an exhaust alone!). Ferrari = emotional, status car which cost a bomb to maintain GTR = rational car, still quite an amount of status associated, still cost a reasonable amount to maintain but is more reliable and better at literally everything Before when I was being silly with cars and importing (and speculative debt) I considered a F355 from the UK. I'd still prefer a F355 over a F360 for a variety of reasons.

White R32 GTR turning right onto Canberra Ave. Waves all around. Looked neat with a great stance.
