Strange Hissing Sound.

Hello all.

The other day I pulled into my driveway and hopped out of the car (Series 1 RS260) to go inside. As it has a turbo timer it was still running and as I walked around it to go inside I could hear a hissing sound coming from the rear. Sounded like my tyre going flat. But it wasnt.

Im assuming it's something to do with the HICAS. Is that normal or could it be leaking?

I've also noticed it can pull to one side sometimes while driving straight. Its not a consistent pull sometimes it does it sometimes not.

I've only just bought the car and it's been like it the whole time.

I've read in posts before alot of people do without the HICAS. Should I just do that too? If so what's involved?

Any help at all would be great.

Zane.

Well I have just sold the rear subframe from my w/o S1 Stagea to a guy with a 180SX or suchlike with hicas so that he can be free of the hicas. The less drastic method is (and I have no personal experience of this) to remove such hicas elements as you can and get a lockbar to secure the rear wheels. Have a search on the general skyline section for removing hicas.
