Hey guys,

i got my front tyres changed today. gave the mthe car in perfect working order. when i picked it up the abs light was on... i rang then and asked if they had done anything else and they said no...

does ANYONE know what this could be??

Is it a common problem?

All help is appreciated!

hey just a quick question the new tyres are they the same sizes all around or different if different that may be the cause of your prob different tyre rolling circumfrence can effect the abs speed sensors

as above. check that the profile of the new tyre matches the old one giving the same rolling diameter as stock rims as this can throw off abs.

just did a section on abs in tafe the other day, apparently theres a sensor near each wheel, which can get knocked, broken, or covered in crap which will set off the light, your brakes will work fine except for the abs so just dont lock it up by accident. u can also plug in a scan tool and take out the code.
