I am selling the engine from my R34 GTR V Spec II. I am upgrading to a monster motor. This engine has travelled 55,000 km's and will be sold complete from intake plenum to dump pipes. It is immaculate, as I have looked after it fastidiously - as those of you who have seen the car at AutoSalon and elsewhere will know! :D

History: I imported the car from Japan in early 2007 via a well-known Perth-based import specialist. They did all the compliancing and subsequent servicing. The service history is all logged and receipts/dates and reports will be provided to validate condition. The engine was serviced every 5000 km's and only the best oils and lubricants were used.

Engine comes with:

Injectors

Coil packs

Turbos

Steel dumps

R34 Crank angle sensor (will be modified by the workshop to suit earlier model if required)

All engine pipework

Fuel rail and pressure reg

Nismo Oil cap

The engine is currently stored at the workshop, who will guarantee its condition to any buyer. The workshop can provide fitting service to buyers from Perth. Shipping inter-state can be arranged at buyer's expense.

Price: $8,800.

Please don't post telling me you can buy a wrecker from an R32 of unknown origin for heaps less. This is a good price for a known history engine that is absolutely immaculate. Independent inspections welcome.

Cheers. :P

which shop is this located at in perth and what are you putting in?

Short version - it's a Nismo crate R34 GTR N1 motor, with HKS V-Cam and all the trimmings. The whole deal is being managed for me by Imports 101, who imported the R32 from Japan earlier this year. The bits that won't fit, I am selling. The workshop is keeping the rest of the R32.

Cheers.

If you can find anybody who wants everything else I only need the bare motor. Would be interested at a revised price minus those things,if there is anyone out there???

Thanks, mate. I will see how it goes and in the meantime, prepare a price for the bare motor. Obviously I would prefer to sell it as a package.

Cheers. :P

Just in case anyone is confused - I am putting the Nismo crate motor with the V-cam into my car. The standard R34 GTR V Spec II motor is for sale!

Cheers.

PM sent. Still would prefer to sell whole package.

Cheers.

Would u sell the head and plenum seperate?

Thanks for the enquiry, mate. I really don't want to break this down. The motor is guaranteed as a package by the workshop who are doing all the work for me. So this is not your average RB26 from a front cut or a wrecker. Someone will want an engine with such a guarantee, I am sure. So it is not worth it to break it down.

I am sure you can get a head and plenum elsewhere. Try some of the workshops - I can give you the details of the workshop I am using, if you send me a PM. They may have what you are looking for, without my engine attached!!

Cheers,

Brendan.

Just a thought for those of you who are window-shopping: There cannot be many RB26 motors for sale out there that come guaranteed by a reputable workshop and with a known history.

Just a thought .... ..... ..... ;)

any chance of getting it over to the east coast?

We can get it shipped to the East coast, no worries. Several of the freight companies, such as Smartsend, can give you a quote online for sending an engine. Let me know if you need me to get a quote - but you will need to tell me where you are and which post code it needs to be delivered to.

Also pm sent.

any chance you can supply a matching engine loom?

i may have a buyer.

steve

Steve, I will check with the workshop. I take it you are looking for a BNR34 wiring loom - is that correct? Also, please let me know where you are - it may help if you came into the workshop to discuss your needs. Otherwise, send me your mobile number via pm.

Also pm sent.

Cheers. :)

Just to confirm, for those who are window shopping: ;)

  • Freight of the motor from WA to the East coast would cost between $250 and $350, depending on where you are. All pretty straightforward.
  • Regarding the engine loom, I can provide an engine loom, if required - with suitable modification for the CAS for R32 or R33 cars. It will cost me, so I will have to pass on the cost - will need to check price, depending on the model and CAS. I am using my BNR34 engine loom in my car. I am advised by the workshop that you can happily use an R32 or R33 engine loom with this motor. Running an R32/33 loom even provides some benefits, as this allows you to use any readily available ECU, where as the BNR34 one is harder to get, less options and more expensive. This engine and loom will run off a STD BNR32 or BCNR33 computer and loom with no trouble.

Hope that helps.

Cheers.

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
