Been wanting to organise a golf day for the past few months but have had too much on to even think about organising it. Their are plenty of people on this forum that play weekend comps at various clubs so it would be good to get 2-3 groups and make a social event.

Who: If you have your own set of clubs, a proper golflink handicap and are a member of a course and play atleast monthly. This is not a day for someone that had a few beers 1 nite then went to aqua golf or putt putt trying to be Tiger Woods infront of your drunk mates or wants a day out trying to do fishtails in golf buggies on the fairways whilst making blowoff valve sounds.

When: Thinking maybe June on a Sunday with the possibility of making it 4 rounds a year.

Where: In Sydney area but unsure exactly where, depends where most of the attendees are located. It doesn't need to be a fancy course, even a course such as Wallacia would be great as it's extremely laid back and you can get a round at any time you like for about $20 and its only 30mins from Parramatta.

Anyway show your interest and we'll see if it's worth a shot.

I make blow-off valves when driving golf carts, but I'm still interested :P

Just a beginner golfer, but I'm keen.. Shall we make it that anyone with 27 hcp or less is more than welcome?

We don't want to make it too serious or exclusive...

I'm not expecting your handicap to be under 5 or have your own personal caddy, I just dont want people turning up that have never hit a ball before and don't know the general course rules and etiquette.

I haven't played at Dunheved for a number of years, probably since I was back in highschool so atleast 8yrs, from memory it's quite a nice course and pretty laid back.

how bout sefton golf course ???

Its a nice small course, can finish a whole round in under 3 hrs with a group of 3.

Many par 3's and 1 or 2 par 4's

Ive heard they have fixed up the course and it looks real nice now.

Bexley golf course is really nice and is public, so this would be good.

Im keen :);)

Havn't played a round in a while would be good to get out there again

Dunheved is where they nick nice cars & dump 'em.

Nice course tho'

Wallacia is cool.

Just need to find a course where the gutter won't crack low lips too.

Also a place where the cars aren't in direct line with a 'pull', 'hook' or 'slice' :) hehe

Sorry Ben for being a slacker :P . It's ok to come and play at my course if you like, Canterbury G.C. at Beverly hills, it's only a 9 holer but she's in top nic ATM. ;)

No need for bookings, always a walk up start and we don't mind liners comming out for a bash. ;) Cost is $16 for 9 and $20 for 18, need to use your own set/rent $13 (no sharing), no club house though but we have softies, hot food, etc. Car parking is off street car park, but no security I'm afraid (never really had any major problems over the past 10 years). Let me know if you guys want to come and play. ;)

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
