Yeah it should be playable at 1440x900res (or 1280x1024) on Mainstream or Gamer with a few shader settings turned down. You want to aim for at least 30fps but expect some slow down on some action sequences. Also, have you loaded the latest driver (182.XX)?

Ye, res is too high for that video card... Crysis Warhead while being optimised somewhat over Crysis... still maxes juice on even decent cards.

I haven't played it yet but im expecting it to bring my 4850 to its knee's @ 1680 - i aint even going to try run it @ 1900 lol :(

tried 1440x900, still getting unbearable lag.. all my other games handle perfectly on full settings and on 1680x1050 :)

And yes 182.50 is installed, i'm pretty sure 8800GT SLI can handle crysis warhead on 1680x1050

Warhead does support SLI...maybe try disabling SLI to see if that's the cause.

Also, do you know what the CPU % and RAM usage is in game? while unlikely, one of these could be the bottleneck.

Not sure if this is what you're talking about but CPU is on 1% (Doesn't sound right?) and ram is 2.06GB

Edit: Hmm got windows 7 beta put on recently, and in dxdiag it says i've got DX11? lol.. maybe thats the prob?

So your running windows 7???

Does the game actually officially support it yet?

I dont think most do as its not officially released yet - add to the fact you dont have a DX11 card, DX11 cards are not due until the launch of Windows 7 officially (not the BETA)

Go back to Vista/XP IMO

    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
