at this stage it will be Mark, Rebecca and I... Not sure about SteadyEddy/Chris.

Jeno and Jo can't be there :)

Bullet32 is too soft and has a frangipani show on

James doesn't know what he's missing out on

Donnons mum won't let him

Reeces car is never in one piece long enough and he still hasn't given me back my clutch line :(

hmm that enuff sm@rt @rsin' from me to make up for being so quiet lately :)

You were doing some great times out there at the last one. Well done!! I thought it was impressive given you haven't had a lot of runs around that track. I think you'll be putting up a great battle at future events.

In regards to the actual hillclimb times. Do the GTS-T's suffer much from RWD syndrome? I know there are lots of other RWD cars that run but in comparison to the GTR's around the circuit, how do they fair??

P.S - I bought a helmet today and my diff is fixed so I'll be out joining in with you guys once I have a membership with someone + CAMS licence. I don't think i'll be out for competition, i just want to go out and come back with a big smile on my face.

I've actually got a motorkhana on that weekend up in Newcastle, and your clutch line will be back to you in the next week :D

:P YES, I think its worth at least 2 seconds in the launch, but its not as bad around the track, I think lag would be a bigger problem than grip up the hill.

I'm another one that can't go now, booked to go to Melbourne. Shame I'll have to wait 12 months for a 2 lapper. Money's been put towards the next two events.

My times were ok, hoping to slip into the 47's Still not too bad considering all the people that beat me on the day came in fully preped race WRX sti/EVO's. I have all the grip I need right now, the body roll is the main problem.

I wanted to see the upgraded GTR beast go around the track.

So you would agree Reece that the GTS-T's would be disadvantaged enough to not warrant fighting for positions against other suitable hill climb cars and they should really just aim for the fun and social aspect of it (and against other GTS-Ts)..

If so, that so doesn't worry me, because I'm all for the fun of the thing more than anything.

^^ what he said.

The GTST's are in a different class. I won quite a few classes with my GTST and if its smile factor you're after... then you're going to get value for money.

Ahh didn't think about classes, thanks guys.

Yeh, I'm more than keen to start running in these events, I keep watching all the SDMA vids on youtube making me more and more keen.

Yeah the GTR's are in type SV and we are in Type1-2-3 (depending on mods) over 3000cc. We are extremely competitive in type 1/2 but not as much in type 3.

Did I miss something here? "over 3000cc"?

Does anyone have a list of what mods put you in what class?

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
