I would imagine it would be the same as a R33 GTR clutch. If you do a search on this forum you will find quite a few reviews of the various clutches available. My 260 will need a new clutch, too. :nyaanyaa: Doesn't like launching at anything over ~4000rpm

i replaced my 260 clutch with an Exedy twin plate clutch - NM042SD

$2200 for clutch, ~$600 for labour.

best thing i ever did, changes the whole way the car handles

Yep same as R33 GTR.

I got a cerametalic one from slide on here rated to 330rwkw, good price to.

Is pretty heavy and very bitey but if u want a good clutch that isnt $2000 then u get that.

I wouldnt recomend doing it unless u have a hoist and a transmisson jack, there freaking heavy and awkward, not any more difficult then a normal clutch change though, You will need to bleed the attessa aferwards.

if you want the nicest clutch to drive yet can handle over 600awhp no problems, go straight for a NPC twin plate clutch, best in the business!!!! ive tried exedy, extreme singles and they are weak as and wont cope with hard 4wd launches for long. Direct clutch twin was nice to engage, super strong, but heavy as hell to press so dont bother. Os Giken quad plate i had was nice and soft and handles the power but its really annoying to engage and bunny hopping from lights is not cool :D

seriously if you want to get a clutch and never have to upgrade and have it drive and feel like stock then a NPC twin plate is the go, they are $2000 and way better than the other options. I've done 8500rpm launches with mine and 560rwhp at drags heaps of times and never slipped once.

Yeah I just had my car retuned after I installed new turbos, and hit 254awkw which I am happy with however any more power and the clutch slipped, + turbo seal is rooted (great have to take em out send them off) anyway long story short is when mine goes I will bet a Jim berry as Ive only head good things.

cheers

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
