I have owned this car for 19months and it has never let me down. I purchased it just under 80k km, had the timing kit done at around 80k km(receipt provided). It has also had the radiator reco'd(sticker still on rad), a new thermostat(precaution), new coolant temp sensor, the IAC valve cleaned, throttle body cleaned etc. serviced every 4-6k km with fuchs 10w30. Most recent service i used motul 10w40.

I bought the car dead stock(which means I have the standard parts) from the first aussie owner who owned it for ~3yrs and put ~35k km on it(he also had a company car). All the modifications have been well thought out and carried out to complement the car.

$15,750 Slightly negotiable: Upon receiving deposit, the car will be booked into Micolour for touch ups of the bottom of the front bar and a professional cut and polish/detail to bring it back to showroom condition. Car will be serviced the day before it is picked up, cold start valve cleaned, and all bushes relubed to get rid of squeaks(whiteline bushes seem to need a relube after a while). Reg added, me aiding in requiring RWC.

OR

A price to be negotiated, None(or some) of the above tidy up stuff done(if you prefer to DIY), could also removed stereo to reduce price.

Reg is until October or November, can be negotiated for another 12months to be added, I can aid in RWC upon sale.

Car is parked undercover in the inner-suburbs of Melbourne.

I am sure there is more I could add, so will try and remember it to add when I wash it and put up photos. As you can see, all mods are of good quality, all maintenance has been done. This is a VERY reliable car, NEVER let me down, I have used it when i had un-reliable datsun projects, and then moved house with it(can fit a fridge in it easy :P ), and it has been the grocery getter as the mrs and I get trains to work. The reason I have put so many km on the car is my fiance's family are in Geelong, over 150km away, and the rest out in Colac, and her family being rather close has resulted in alot of trips to see them.

This car would suit someone with a young family, a preggy mrs, or someone who goes away a lot or needs the space for bikes or work gear.

Contact me via PM for any enquires, I will supply my mobile number, happy to meet locally to you. I am interested in swapping it for a GTR, EVO, FD, with cash from me. I would also consider swaps for a cheap run-around car + cash.

-Ryan.

Kylie, PM me your e-mail address. I would love for it to go to someone from the "SAU stagea family" :ninja: Obviously price is adjusted for interstate buyers to reflect not adding rego.

I will try and find time to get it washed tomorrow night, been out to the country the past two weekeneds so it needs a rinse.

crap, cant edit the first post, my number is 0404 824 819, Text me during work hours(8.30am-430pm), and i will call you back shortly, sms only after 8pm aswell

landline available by request(work and home)

and I also have a folder of receipts to go with the car.

Please note, I am not going to do the normal forum weekly price drop BS, if you are genuinely interested in the car but the listed price is a deterrent, please give me a call, as I stated, I am negotiable, and I just didn't really know how to price it.

Cheers,

Ryan

13.5k neg.

forgot to say that will be with 12months reg added from date of purchase. reg is due end of october.

I WILL get hold of a digital camera at some point, but went away for the weekend for my b'day. wet, low tyre press, air con/demister on in the hills 12l/100, fwy in rain with wind n shit, 10l/100km

If you are in melbourne and interested I rather you just meet me somewhere to inspect than wait for photos, as I have very little time to stuff around with pix on the weekend, and even if you dont buy/make and offer, it will help you value other cars.

  • 1 month later...

12,500 with 12months reg. will be updating the thread properly at some point. All mods listed are included.(only thing not included is my soundstream sub amp. the rest of the stereo will be there, all the wiring will be left there.)

    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
    • See if you can thermal epoxy a heatsink or two onto it?
    • The other problem was one of those "oh shit we are going to die moments". Basically the high spec Q50s have a full electric steering rack, and the povo ones had a regular hydraulic rack with an electric pump.  So couple of laps into session 5 as I came into turn 2 (big run off now, happily), the dash turned into a christmas tree and the steering became super heavy and I went well off. I assumed it was a tyre failure so limped to the pits, but everything was OK. But....the master warning light was still on so I checked the DTCs and saw – C13E6 “Heat Protection”. Yes, that bloody steering rack computer sitting where the oil cooler should be has its own sensors and error logic, and decided I was using the steering wheel too much. I really appreciated the helpful information in the manual (my bold) POSSIBLE CAUSE • Continuing the overloading steering (Sports driving in the circuit etc,) “DATA MONITOR” >> “C/M TEMPERATURE”. The rise of steering force motor internal temperature caused the protection function to operate. This is not a system malfunction. INSPECTION END So, basically the electric motor in the steering rack got to 150c, and it decided to shut down without warning for my safety. Didn't feel safe. Short term I'll see if I can duct some air to that motor (the engine bay is sealed pretty tight). Long term, depending on how often this happens, I'll look into swapping the povo spec electric/hydraulic rack in. While the rack should be fine the power supply to the pump will be a pain and might be best to deal with it when I add a PDM.
    • And finally, 2 problems I really need to sort.  Firstly as Matt said the auto trans is not happy as it gets hot - I couldn't log the temps but the gauge showed 90o. On the first day I took it out back in Feb, because the coolant was getting hot I never got to any auto trans issues; but on this day by late session 3 and then really clearly in 4 and 5 as it got hotter it just would not shift up. You can hear the issue really clearly at 12:55 and 16:20 on the vid. So the good news is, literally this week Ecutek finally released tuning for the jatco 7 speed. I'll have a chat to Racebox and see what they can do electrically to keep it cooler and to get the gears, if anything. That will likely take some R&D and can only really happen on track as it never gets even warm with road use. I've also picked up some eye wateringly expensive Redline D6 ATF to try, it had the highest viscosity I could find at 100o so we will see if that helps (just waiting for some oil pan gaskets so I can change it properly). If neither of those work I need to remove the coolant/trans interwarmer and the radiator cooler and go to an external cooler....somewhere.....(goodbye washer reservoir?), and if that fails give up on this mad idea and wait for Nissan to release the manual 400R
