Who built the motor? Do you have reciepts. Were you the owner who built the car or was it the previous owner?

Genuine buyer, its just that the colour looks familiar.

Cheers

You can pm me if you prefer

This was for sale by a different member (Peter is his real name) in a previous ad a few months ago (maybe more??). The lack of info and responses to genuine inquiries from this seller amazes me. Ive given up after sending 2 emails.

I have the contact info for the previous owner as I was emailing him when this car was on carsales (and here simultaneously). The distance and over the pits rego hassles, kinda killed it for me, but it's a great car.

hey man, the previous owner was peter...

the engine was built by him and john at ices performance in rowville.

the only reason why im trying to sell the car is because i need the money as im going oversees and to buy 2 cars for myself and my brother.

im barely on SAU so just call me if you have inquiries dont email me...

my number is 0403172796 or my brother 0423350450

At the bottom of the LHS is the contact information and at the bottom of that it shows your email address that you must have registered with??

It shows this:-

[email protected]

If your info is wrong, well that's your fault.

Now you spend $X (half with your brother) on buying a car and then 5 seconds later youre selling it as you realise you need a car each? Well der! WTF? I thought you were selling as youre going OS?

Ice Performance where in Cheltanham, not Rowville, there was no John there, just a Greald and Nigel, I know because they built 2 engines for me and are friends.

Cheers for the help anyway, I guess you dont know much about the engine.

Good luck with the sale buddy.

To help out the poor fella trying to sell this, it appears that the previous owner Pete, worked at ICE a while back. He now work at Rowville (I guess a mechanical workshop??). Engine definitely done at ICE though.

Im also guessing that if Nigel and Gerald are mates, ask them about Pete and this car?? I assume they must know of it?

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
    • Probably gonna remove manifold and turbo. I’m not sure if I can get M12 x 1.5 air tight. Could use high temp Loctite 246 or something similar, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s just best to remove everything again and weld an 1/8NPT on there instead.
    • Yeah, saw the ratios, not impressed. Would like the punch I have in the first gears now. With those ratios it won't be the same.  Also want the h pattern gearing, or at least a quiet gear set that don't need to come apart for service each year. Looks like the only "reasonable" way Is a 8hp70 transmission, but where is the fun in that🤷‍♂️
