I imported this from the US in 2007 for $900 and have used it a handful of times on Australian roads. It has proven to be quite reliable for highway driving and I've successfully detected radar traps several hundred metres in advance. The 'auto-scan' setting can be temperamental in built up areas as the X-Band frequency can overlap with some remote security systems. This unit also includes Bel's 'TotalShield' technology which effectively removes radio frequency pulses making this unit immune to Australian RDD's including the Spectre III.
