The professional’s choice for Horsepower!

The professionals choice for Horsepower! When choosing an external wastegate you should put Turbosmarts Pro-gate to the task. The Pro-gate has been developed, trialed and tested in a range of high performance race applications, including a 1200 HP twin turbo V8 jet boat, a 600 HP turbo diesel and a 900 HP turbo 20B Rx7, with outstanding success. The Pro-gate is manufactured from the toughest and most durable Duplex stainless steel alloys that are designed to withstand incredible temperatures and a life-time of punishment free from jamming and thermal fatigue. With the Pro-gate you will notice a substantial improvement in response from your turbo along with a steady and precise boost pressure.Key design features to a superior wastegate are temperature and flow capability. Turbosmart has successfully addressed these issues by optimising valve lift and the flow path through the body. All Turbosmart Wastegates incorporate a unique temperature isolation zone, and utilise the most exotic

Time proven reliability and extreme performance has made the Turbosmart Pro-Gate the external wastegate of choice by many of the world’s fastest drag racers and builders of hardcore horsepower machines. The Pro-Gates design includes an investment cast Stainless Steel body, a one-piece valve for strength and reliability and the unique temperature isolation zone to reduce heat transfer. The Pro-Gate is supplied complete with a cast Stainless Steel Vee-band adapter kit for quick and easy installation. We have successfully used one Pro-Gate on engines producing up to 1000HP, however in applications where the turbo is not suitably matched to the engine, this figure may not be achievable.

Race proven winner! Drag racers choice!

Extensively developed body design and huge valve lift ensure unrivalled flow

Includes 7, 10, 14 and 17 PSI springs.

Silicone Nomex diaphragm - durability under extreme temperatures and stress

Optimum actuator to valve ratio for precise boost control

WHY USE A TURBOSMART WASTEGATE?

Turbosmart wastegates feature innovative design, skilful engineering and the finest materials available. These are trait’s that over recent years Turbosmart has become renowned for, making a Turbosmart wastegate an obvious choice. The wastegates body and valve are investment cast from 253MA Stainless Steel (ASTM S30815). This grade of stainless steel has high strength and excellent resistance to oxidisation, creep deformation and wear, but most importantly is right at home in temperatures beyond 1200C (2192F). The diaphragm housings are billet 6061 T6 Aluminium, coupled with 17-7PH springs and Silicone Nomex reinforced diaphragms. Turbosmart wastegates have been subjected to our extreme development and testing procedures, however what’s important is that we have countless wastegates on race engines winning races.

This is a one off rare auction. Im selling a massive genuine Garrett turbo GT3540R (approx 20cm round) attached to a HPC coated Rb30 manifold, 3 inch dump pipe, screemer pipe and massive TURBOSMART PRO GATE 48MM waste gate. It has all good fittings and braided lines for water and oil etc and would cost $1000's to purchase elsewhere. i bought it 2 years ago with huge intentions but they never got off the ground. I have the matching head and other parts available too. Forged pistons, injectors etc etc

You really have no idea how big this is until you see it on the car, i can rub my whole fist on the propeller and im 100kg bloke. Needs a dust off and clean other wise in as new condition, has had tape over the inlets while in storage. Buyer wont be dissapointed. My engine ran over 500+ hp with this set up.

    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
    • Skyline R33 Series 2 sedan tail lights in excellent condition. With minimal wear and tear they will come as you see. Bear in mind they are not brand new they are almost 30 years old now. To find them in this condition isn’t easy they can only be obtained on the second hand market.   Australia Wide Postage Available At Buyers Expense. • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
