Converting Wiring From Rb20 Maf's To Z32 Maf's + Power Fc Settings - Any Help Appreciated

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

1) Does anyone have a wiring diagram to convert from RB20 MAF's to Z32 MAF's on a GTR?

2) I'm running power fc, will the car need a remap or can I simply select the different map and it will run fine? The last option I have on the power fc is VG30, is that the correct one for Z32? (Other options are stock 32/33, power something, RB25 and VG30)

3) If VG30 is the correct setting, how do I select it? I can scroll down to it, get into the parameters but when I come out, exit, and go back in it goes back to RB25?

Thanks all,

M

you cannot just select a new AFM and expect it to run ok - the resolution is totally different.

Full retune.

Please read the PFC FAQ for all other questions, its very well covered

    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.

    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
    • Sounds like a misfire. Check fuel pressure and don't even think about going into boost while it's like this unless you enjoy engine rebuilds.
