G'day

Do you guys know of anyone who removes HICAS systems south of the river?

I've been wanting to remove the entire HICAS system on my gts-t because its starting to shit itself, but i'm not 100% on the re-routing of the lines. Additionally i'd rather get it done by someone who has done others so its done properly.

The other option is getting the tommei lock kit and leaving the system in.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers,

Alex

Rip the steering rack out and loop the 2 lines together using hose and strong clamps.

Any further removal really needs the engine out otherwise it's a complete bastard (I did the simple rack out, lockbar in, loop lines to start with, then the next time the engine came out I removed the solenoid and all the lines in the engine bay).

can remove the solenoid out of engine bay easy as. Rip the solenoid out, connect the lines that are left, this keeps the PS cooler and effectively cuts out the system.

Remove everything from the solenoid back.

Use a pitman puller toget the ends of its easier than bashing it with a hammer for 20mins.

Easy job.
