R33 Gtst Hicas Light

Hi my Hicas light has come on when i went to start the car one morning and has not turned off since.

I have tried so many times to get into the Hicas diagostic mode after 50+ attemps i still

cant get it to go into diagostic mode. I have checked all the electrical connections at the rear hicas unit

behind the diff also fuses etc. I have not changed anything on the car prior to the light turning on.

any suggestions would be very helpfull thanks Sam...........

i've got a lock bar, so the light is on all the time...meh

but if you dont and its effecting your steering there are a couple threads around about this.

Hi the steering is not affected bin any way anmd the hicas are electric type and the vehical is a series 1 skyline

could the steering positioning mechanism behind the steering wheel stopping me from entering diagnostic mode as i

would like to fix the problem not just ignore the light thanks

you should probe the hicas connector to check it is getting power and ground.
