mate, sick & tired of reading your smart arsed remarks

not very becoming of an sau moderator (one who doesnt even have a skyline or rb engine, work that one out)

if youve got nothing nice to say then dont say anything at all

Tangles, Pull your head in!!

Adam didn't have an issue with it so why don't you mind your own business!

The guy ran an idea by me and Nightcrawler first.............not that I need to explain myself to you!

It was a subtle and gentle dig at him for not showing up at his own event......no biggy really.

You conveniently failed to quote my last line in that post though!

but it's quite alright for you to have a dig at me time and time again, whether that be a photo of my missus arse, something I post etc etc

Ive been here a hell of a lot longer than you as a member, so yeah it IS my business, and was another example of the way you rub someone up

but not that I need to explain myself to you !

Ive conveniently failed to quote all of your little digs at members, because it will fill a few pages up, with utter crap.

frankly I am sick of it and have made a complaint about the matter - not that I need to explain myself to you, tho, hey?

pull YOUR head in mate, you are a Moderator and as such should not be seen to be abusing members left right & centre

end rant

LOL, hope you've got some examples of where I've abused members that didn't have it coming.

We're constantly attempting to appear as a forum that doesn't condone hoons as the local constabulary regularly peruses these boards yet we have the likes of you regularly bragging about tearing up the hills at ridiculous speeds not to mention all the warrior talk about knee capping and bashing!

On that note, aren't you on a disability pension???

Yet you seem to have alot of energy for working on cars, riding bikes through the hills and bashing peeps.........I wonder if our people couldn't find you a production line job in a factory where you could sit down to take the pressure off the old knees for you......even if it's only for a few hours a week.

Never too late to reopen files, I do it all the time.

You complain about me all you like Tangles but regarless of how long you think you've been here, you and others that I've given a hard time to are still subject to the rules of the owner.

As far as having a go about me not owning a Skyline which in your mind, should be a prerequisite for being here....using your logic, you don't own one either and isn't this Skylines Aust......I on the other hand did recently and now looking for a pristine 32 as most peeps here know.

by the way, this is what I had written in the last line of that post:

Oh well, hopefully it accomplished what you intended

you also neglected other peep's comments in this thread having a big LOL at your expense........but being a Mod it's easier to vent your frustrations towards me I suppose......good thing I've got broad shoulders.

oh, here we go again.

and this time you threaten me. wow, youre a big man arnt you. abuse me and threaten me. ta "mate"

you want to make a threat - do it to my face. 10 christine st, 5162. look forward to seeing you.

mate, Ive never been in a fight in my life, so dont go assuming everything you read is fact; in fact learn to read between the lines. re-read that "kneecapping" tongue in cheek comment if you care.

also, Ive got nothing to prove to you or anyone else re DSP. I bought a bike 'cause it was cheap, and rode it home. havent ridden it since bar to the tyre shop. will sell and make a G or two. but you dont need to know that....as its got f**k all to do with you. so f**k off "sled" and mind you OWN business.

I'll work on my car whenever I like, "mate". Hell its not as if I can kneel down or even get the jack underneath the car. Youve got a problem with that? Anyways - tell me, what work is it I do on my car?

yes it seems you do take issue with me. so go on then, open up a report about Brendan James Wilkeson and my DSP, we'll see how successful you are. maybe you'll see that I cant sleep, cant do jack shit 'cause of these knees and the constant mind-numbing pain. maybe, just maybe, looking into my case might open your eyes a little to the fact that many ppl out there are genuine, as genuine as can be, and judging them to see whether they qualify for DSP is nothing more than harrasment

so god luck, bud. Hope you sleep straight at night, and yeah a big thumbs up for the personal threat

WOW.......ease up on the medication bud :(

more abuse - youve used that line on me a half dozen times now.

ta mate, but time for something new, its getting a tad old.

so I take it you are a Doctor and work with The Pain Clinic @ Flinders Medical Centre?

No?

then stop telling me what / how much medication to take.

If you need to know, durogesic is a patch on the skin that slowly allows morphine to enter the bloodstream over 72hrs.

tell me how you ease up on that?? and tell me why I even should?

do I have NO RIGHT to attempt to live my life in some sort of physical comfort??

thanks for your personal concerns tho; duely noted.

if the morphine and other meds make my morning viewpoint come across as harsh, well, soz but thats how it is.

really pissed that not ONE of your family or mates came up with a different option; woulda saved you a penny or two and being taken for half-a-ride

meh no not really - more so @ family/friends who didnt raise an eyebrow or lend a word of advice

got nothing to do with me, as for not taking it further, bwahaha mate if it "was me" in that position the mechanic would struggle to walk

f**k me over and I break your kneecaps; f**k up your life. hence Ive never been f**ked over, ppl sort of realise that. :(

half a dozen??? Exaggerate much, try once before...........you're the one that keeps reminding us about the medications frying your brain!!^^^

Anyway, we've both whored this thread enough.......anything else you have an issue with me, take it to PM!!

    • I think the concept is highlighting the various scenarios where thicker oil helps, and thicker oil potentially doesn't help and only generates heat and costs power, in turn for safety which isn't actually any safer (unless you're going real hot). If anything this does highlight why throwing Castrol 10w-60 for your track days is always a solid, safe bet.
    • Jason should have shown a real viscosity vs temp chart. All the grades have very little viscosity difference at full operating temperature.
    • Oops... I meant to include the connector  view... BR/W - power from fuse L/W - motor negative to fan control amp (and off to HVAC pin19) OR/B - PWM signal (from HVAC pin20) B --  ground
    • Yep, if you are applying filler it sounds like there is something wrong with the body lol. Safe to assume there is going to be a lot of sanding going on if your still applying fillers.  Picture a perfect bare metal panel, smooth as glass. You lay down your primer, it's perfect. (why are you going to sand it?) You lay down the colour and clear, it's perfect. No sanding at all took place and you've got a perfectly finished panel.  You won't be chasing your tail, sounds like you were prepping to start laying filler. If your happy with the body after the sanding, there is some bare metal exposed and some areas with primer, no issues at all, start laying the filler. You are safe to lay filler on bare metal or primer (of course check your technical data sheet as usual for what your filler is happy to adhere to).  This isn't a 100% correct statement. There is primer that is happy to adhere to smooth bare metal. There are fillers that are happy to adhere to smooth bare metal. Just make sure you're using the right materials for the job.  Typically if you are using filler, you would go primer, colour and clear. I've never seen any instances before where someone has laid colour over body filler (maybe this happens, but I haven't seen it before). So your plan sounds pretty normal to me.
    • I don't think there's any way someone is push starting this car.. I honestly can barely move it, and moving it and steering it is just flat out not possible. I'm sure it is, but needs a bigger man than me. I have a refurbished starter now. The starter man was quite clear and consise showing me how nothing inside a starter really should contribute to slow cranking, and turned out that for the most part... my starter was entirely fine. Still, some of the wear items were replaced and luckily it didn't show any signs of getting too hot, being unfit for use, etc. Which is 'good'. I also noticed the starter definitely sounded different, which is a bit odd considering nothing should have really changed there.... Removed and refit, and we'll pretend one of the manifold bolts didn't fully tighten up and is only "pretty" tight. GM only wants 18ft/lb anyway. I also found a way to properly get my analog wideband reading very slightly leaner than the serial wideband. There's Greg related reasons for this. The serial output is the absolute source of truth, but it is a total asshole to actually stay connected and needs a laptop. The analog input does not, and works with standalone datalogging. Previously the analog input read slightly richer, but if I am aiming at 12.7 I do not want one of the widebands to be saying 12.7 when the source of truth is 13.0. Now the source of truth will be 12.65 and the Analog Wideband will read 12.7. So when I tune to 12.7 it'll be ever so slightly safer. While messing with all of this and idling extensively I can confirm my car seems to restart better while hot now. I did add an old Skyline battery cable between the head and the body though, though now I really realise I should have chosen the frame. Maybe that's a future job. The internet would have you believe that this is caused by bad grounds. In finding out where my grounds actually were I found out the engine bay battery post actually goes to the engine, as well as a seperate one (from the post) to the body of the car. So now there's a third one making the Grounding Triangle which is now a thing. I also from extensive idling have this graph. Temperature (°C) Voltage (V) 85 1.59 80 1.74 75 1.94 70 2.1 65 2.33 60 2.56 55 2.78 50 2.98 45 3.23 40 3.51 35 3.75 30 4.00   Plotted it looks like this. Which is actually... pretty linear? I have not actually put the formula into HPTuners. I will have to re-engage brain and/or re-engage the people who wanted more data to magically do it for me. Tune should be good for the 30th!
