Fuel Pump Requirement

Hello,

I've currently only got one 040 in tank pump and its running out of flow at 23 psi. Therefor only running 22.

Was looking at running duel 044's off a surge tank still fed by the 040. Instead started to lean towards just getting the one Aeromotive a1000 to do the job, meaning less fittings etc.

So, just wondering if some people with personal expirience can offer up some insight as to how much:

a/ a single 044 has supported at the rw

b/ twin 044's have supported at the rw

Well considering you've not really given us much idea of how much flow you actually need (23psi means nothing)...

Im going to guess either

1. You are running a 500rwhp setup

2. You have not correctly wired the pump

#2 is a very common problem often overlooked.

Yes, i did that at first. Now it's wired with 50 amp wiring.

But, i'm actually asking for other peoples experience with the pumps as i have a 040 and have never had an 044.

im running 1000 engine horsepower with 2 x 044's and using 1 x 040 as a lift pump.
