those don't look too bad, 1600 delivered isn't awesome though

BUT, just found out they're made in the Philippines

ROTA are trash, google for pix of them breaking around the spokes etc.

How do you plan on making those wheels fit, +40 offset on a 17x9 sounds like fail to me

According to the offset calculator I used (http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp), they'll have 25mm less inner clearance and stick out 25mm further on the outside edge. From what I looked at last night under the car this should fit.

If there's something you know that I don't by all means speak up :) Don't wanna get stuck with crap rims. Looked like there was a fair bit of inner clearance at present with the 7" rim on the back and we're only talking about taking up another 2.5cm more.

Am I missing something here Roman?

If i were you i would trial fit them first

i'm not exactly sure about the space in the rear but i think that would be a very close call

Trial fitting is an issue as the wheels are in Melb and I'm in Wodonga 3hrs away, the Silvia though street reg'd is not really road worthy modifications wise so driving it to melb and bak would be asking for trouble =\

So I've gotta have some faith in the offset calculator and 2.5cm less inner and 2.5 more outer doesn't seem that bad. I was under there last night and the gap between the rim and the shock was pretty big.

U've got me nervous now, I'll have to re-measure...

At $1600 I reckon you throw that guy with the LMGT4's an offer. At that price its not *that* much more for arguably the best rims an S13 can buy. Re-sale value would be pretty good too.

im guessing you measured when the car was jacked up?

you might want to try to stick ur hand behind the wheel when the car is on the ground. also try to allow for some suspension movement. I read in the for sale thread the guy used to have them on his S13, so ask for pictures and question wheather they fit without spacers.

Hell no, I measured it on the ground, no point doing it while the suspension is sagging... My car is not crazy low nd only has stock rear bumper so there's plenty of space for me to slide my head/arms in there. Did the same for the fronts.

I'm waiting on him to get back to me as he posted a pic showing the wheels on a "a" car but I don't think it was his car.

I have found another thread (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Volk-Racing-Emu-Wheels-t239784.html&mode=threaded) so I'm going to PM that guy too with some questions as he had the exact same offset. He says they fit, no mention of spacers and that they clear R33 brakes (I have S15 calipers up front).

Given the details on that second thread, wouldn't surprise me if they were his rims...

I'm definitely doing my homework.

We might STILL be in business...

"hey, checked the link, they arnt mine, as one of my centre caps were missing.

yeah they cleared 33 brakes no probs with no spacers. the camber set up was purely cosmetic. they didnt require an special suspension adjustment. if u get them for a s13 they will fit no worries"

That's from the guy in the second link.

So if the seller will get back to me... we could have a winner :P

i'm going 5 stud, so there is more choice.

GTR offset is from +12 to +24 depending on width of the rim.

i'm after something 9" or 9.5" wide. Been all over yahoo auctions lately trying to find some. Almost bought some old skool 17x9 ADVAN Tri-spokes in GTR offset but someone out bid me.

I've missed out an a few wheels on here as well, coz i always see them too late :P

You are spoiled for choice then you bastard :P

Definitely post pics when u hook something up.

You going to Nov DECA?

Why won't these people get back to me... is it that hard to reply to a PM and let me give you money...

I happen to come across this thread by pure chance and I happen to have some rims left over form an S13 years ago. I never got them on the car and they have sat around my house ever since.

$1500

Wow they are damn nice but I'm waiting to hear back from the guy with the Volks as they are really cheap and it is a budget track car.

Damn you for throwing those up!

Don't suppose you'd take some crazy cheap price for them?

PM me if you like...

I wouldn't offer you 700 like those Volks but I can't afford 1500 either =\

    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
