G'day All,

Hey, I've searched around on these forums, and have seen several posts raving about these new EL dials for R33's. I think guys here such as pushead and scotty have these, and have read their thoughts on what they're like

Well, I found a set of these on eBay here, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...item=2446012735

So my question is, is it worth it? Fortunately I'm in Melb too, and also have an auto........so far so good. The one on offer also, has less km's then mine too so yeah, its all good.

Just wanted your guys thoughts before I place a bid an all.

Cheers!

Yo,

Yeah, it was me who recently bought a set, and despite my initial hesitations, I'm loving them now.

They're a pretty funky way of ricing up your car, if of course that's what you're going for. hehe, but all in all, no complaints. Personally speaking, I was originally going to go for the simple EL dials, but opted for these instead........personal opinion I guess, just thought these were cooler. hehe :D

Hope that helps...........yeah get em, you know you want to. ;)

yah thats cool...just helping out chubby so he dosent pay to much for something that is worth much less...if u have time u could also fit it yourself.

what i dont' understand is why the normal el's get sold for like 250 bucks?? whereas these are half the price??

Hey,

Errr, my MP33's were sold aaaaages ago!! hehe, how much are they going for? Got myself a set of X14s now. How'd you know I had these???

But I digress, nah, not me, and no I'm not selling my el dials also. Sorry, I actually got mine cheap. 130 at some place in Springvale. I suggest you ask Pushead, cos I've already forgotten the place's name. I'll see if I can track it down for you. But sorry strutto, can't help you out in getting any more. I The place was going to charge me 95 to get them installed, but fortunately the the boys from JSpec helped me out and they did it for me for free!!..............boy those guys sure know have to look after their clients. :D

I am bery bery sneaky... :)

Did a search on all your posts to see where the EL's came from. Saw you had a set of MP33's for sale from ages ago during the search.

Checked out the eBay sellers other items for sale and wadda ya know... hes selling some MP33's too! Seemed like it couldn't be coincedence but hey you know what they say... great minds...

He's got them listed for $900 no reserve... Good price? Not much of a golfer myself... Stupid tiny ball makes me so cranky...

If anyone can track me down a set like the ones on eBay... I'd be most thankful and interested...

Oh, wow, that is very clever!

$900!!, err tell him he's dreaming! keke, actually if they're in a good condition, then its about the market price...... sold mine for 990 though hehe, but that was like a few months ago, so yeah, its all good. Stupid ball, yeah tell me about it, reason why I sold mine to begin with, couldnt use those ones.

Oh well, back to the topic, where's that original post? I cant find it.

Hey All,

Thanks for your input, and thanks Scotty for showing me your car. Nice ride dude, love the rims. Anyway, tried calling motorware and they don't have them for Skylines. Only for Honda Civics and the like.........Guess there's a greater rice market for these cars.

Oh well, still keen to get these, I guess depending on how the auctions go, I'll get it from there.

Thanks again all for your comments.

    • Nah, they'll do it without a receipt, tell em roughly when it was, that it was cash, youll likely only get store credit, but that gets you some dollars towards the newer better shovel, or other item you need/want later.   Still take it back and have a crack at returning it.
    • Nah. Was just wondering if you were having a small stroke or if there was some slur/gaf/inside joke that I wasn't aware of.
    • That was a fark up, it's Salamanca Place I was thinking of. And now I'm curious as to what potential slur/gaf I have caused with Salamander Road, ha ha!
    • Actually everyone on the roads was really well behaved. The only person that did any minor tailgating was a local hoon in a Turbo Focus. Unfortunately we weren't going the same way so there was no grand initial D touge battle. Lots of people pulled over and let me through. The amount of "Hey man nice car, omg skyline, nice 34 man woo" was suprising. Like really suprising. Like almost annoying. My partner was obviously surprised, she'd never seen anyone in the real world point out the car/like the car/want to chat about the car before, so to have like 3 people per day mention it was notable, I could finally say SEE? SOMEONE THINKS THEY'RE COOL. Everyone was also pretty suprised about the weather. Every day was dry and about ~13-14C. Mount Wellington had a sign that said they close the gates at 9pm and I was heading up there at about ~7:30. It was VERY apparent that conditions were getting significantly worse by the minute on the way up and down. The road on the mountain was terrible though, it's no driving road. I have various suspension related questions now. Luckily it was only about 20 minutes from where we were staying to the top of the mountain as said Google maps. We only had the 2 nights in Hobart. We went to the Farm Gate Market though which was really good - And went down to the Hastings Thermal springs/caves down there during the day. I'd definitely be up for going back again, so luckily there's a few more sights yet to see. Didn't get to do the west coast/queenstown/cradle mountain so this was supposed to be a 'scouting' trip anyway of sorts if I were to one day do/take part in/organize a more car-focused trip. As for the boat, it wasn't bad. Well it was bad, but not in the way you're thinking. We did the night trip which leaves at 6:45 (though you have to be there ~2 hours earlier) and arrives the next morning at about 6am. There is nothing to do on the ship. If you plan accordingly and bring a book/tablet/show to watch/charger you can just chill out, take some Travacalm and just sleep through it. The food there is an extremely basic buffet that costs $32 a plate, or $14 for a $3 pizza. The way back we had a travel kettle and a few different types of cup noodles and made our own tea/coffee in the room. This was a far superior way to do it. At the very least book one of the rooms with beds. I guess as we were in the off season we didn't have room mates. You get an option for rooms with 4 beds (2x bunks) or a room with just the two bottom beds. There's also some option for a deluxe queen bed but it's much pricer. We've been on sleeper trains in Asia before so we figured this is similar (and it was)
